BIG NEWS!! Chieftain returned to the PAOBA Breedes Showcase with four offspring that took blue ribbons and TWO Championship banners! In 2009 Chieftain was the Color Champion at the PAOBA Breeders Showcase...and Judge's Choice! With a Color Champion in brown...the oldest one in the championship class...and a Reserve Champion in fawn...the youngest, Chieftain demonstrated he has color, fineness, and density covered. Did we mention he was also the Get of Sire winner...go Chieftain! Another Blue. Chieftain has a strong, square frame with soft, bright fiber everywhere. Want crimp? He has it from his top knot literally down to his knees! His dam is our finest fibered colored female and his sire is the legend-in-the-making Six time Color Champion Peruvian Lancaster. What a great match-up this was for color and fiber! Chieftain's numbers from his 2007 histogram are MOST impressive, and even more impressive is his ability to maintain those wonderful fiber stats. Chieftain has earned Blue ribbons and Banners as a juvenile, yearling, and mature male. With seventeen Blues he has been judged by just about everyone and all agree...this is one awesome male. Chieftain has proven his ability to maintain his outstanding fleece characteristics even as a breeding male. During the Spring 2009 show season, he added two Color Championships (PAOBA and MAPACA), one Reserve Color Championship (Nationals), and the Judge's Choice Award at PAOBA. Judge Mike Safley compared him to a juvenile for the Championship at MAPACA and declared him the finest in the class. What a great compliment for a three year old! This is a herdsire you will want to breed to both your dark and light colors for fineness, density, and crimp. Judges put him at the front of the line for his combination of fineness and density. Isn't that what it's all about? ADD ANOTHER BLUE IN 2011: Chieftain placed first once again at MAPACA...this time in the fleece show. No wonder. His fourth histogram was almost identical to his first histogram! That makes 18 Blues in halter and fleece classes. INTEREST FOR SALE Here is a rare opportunity to add a marquee male to your herd. We would love to give Chieftain the chance to broaden his exposure to other parts of the country. He has been a valuable asset to our breeding program and our farm income, and feel his show career and quality of offspring now warrant another farm to help promote him with marketing and offspring. A male of this caliber typically commands a much higher sales price, but with our decision to retire from the breeding and sales part of our business, Chieftain needs a new home to continue his legacy of outstanding production. If he meets your breeding needs, this could be the male that increases your farm exposure, creates income from breeding fees, or alleviates your own breeding costs.

Absolute Necessity

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 1027099DOB: 11/19/200519 yrs
Born on the West Coast, this girl was definitely an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY for our grey breeding program. She is half sister to Absolute Alpacas Multi-Color Champion, Absolute Lady Godiva. With Pperuvian Pluro genetics on her dam's side, and 6Peruvian Marko genetics on her sire's side, her MAKING is ABSOLUTE! Competing in her first show, she came away with RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION! Her fleece is consistent Medium Rose Grey with NO SPOTS, and to date, has produced 4 cria the color of the sire. Impressive high frequency crimp,4 inch staple length, with a soft handle, perfect conformation and a very pretty, head. She is Absolutely Gorgeous! We purchased her some years back at the Prestige Auction in West Virginia to infuse some new genetics into the East Coast. As mentioned above, she has produced 4 cria to date (each the color of the sire). We sold both Male cria before they hit a year old. We bred her to our Champion Modern Grey stud Graphite and she produced Selencia another modern silver grey female Cria in 2012. We sold her 2015 cria Philomena ,who dropped a modern rose grey male sired by Rincon Cloud in 18, a DB male out of judges choice Little Ricky in 19. Philomena has a beautiful grey female at her side in 2020. Absolute is easy to handle and a joy. She is retired from our breeding program.
