Shonda Sunrise was then imported to Canada where she gave birth to Gold Dust Sunrise, later renamed Jolimont Gold Dust. In the 2003 Kentucky Classic, Gold Dust won 2nd Place Mature Male, suggesting that his strong bones & dense fleece are enduring traits. He also has a gentle disposition, which proved itself in Lucia & her offspring. Her dam, Zhanna Sunrise is a world traveler! Conceived in Peru, exported to Australia, & then to La Pampa Sunrise Alpacas in Canada. She then came to the USA. She has produced award winning cria, & has great conformation & a perfect bite. Lucia is an experienced & devoted mother, who always has plenty of milk (enough to surrogate when needed as well, while still taking care of her own crias). One look at Lucia's last 8 cria proves her worth as a breeder, & though she may be getting older, she still has the vitality & genes to produce excellent cria.
