Accoyo Thai Blossom

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 30844438DOB: 6/10/200618 yrs
Thai Blossom is one beautiful full Accoyo alpaca. She comes from top-notch lineage and has the elite fiber representative of her impressive genetics. She has also proven she can reproduce these sought after Accoyo fleece characteristics in her offspring. Blossom has Caligula as a paternal grandsire & Zen Do as a maternal grandsire. Her Caligula genes come by the way of Sire, Accoyo American Atticus, a multiple champion at impressive shows including the 2003 AOBA Reserve Champion in the class most difficult to ribbon in - white! He is very dense and very fine with a 15.7 micron count. Blossom's maternal grandsire, Accoyo Zen Do is out of the rare Accoyo- B line. This is the select line Julio Barreda bred for fineness and perfect uniformity of fleece. Pacific Crest described Zen Do as the perfect embodiemnt of this line. It is because of these elite genetics that Thai Blossom has the fiber she does. Thai Blossom herself is simply stunning. She has a gorgeous head, nice coverage, and fleece that is so dense that it is difficult to part! Her fleece is very soft with a micron count of just 19.5. It's also very uniformally soft with a coefficient of variation of just 20. These are the kinds of numbers indicating the fleece quality we are looking for in an elite breeding program. As would be expected, her first cria, Accoyo Apple Blossom, has beautiful fiber herself. Thai Blossom comes from impressive lineage, has the fiber and statistics on that fiber to be classified as elite, and has now produced her first cria who looks like she will become a knockout herself. She comes from high quality, she is high quality and now she has proven she can produce high quality. Last year we are delighted with her MEDIUM fawn Invasion cria, Accoyo Defiance. He's gorgeous - dense, crimpy, and dark. This year she produced another knock out in beige with Stratosphere. She is currently open & can be rebred in the spring of 2017.

Description

Although young, the potential in this girl is obvious. Her genetics are strong, and her fiber looks like it's going to be amazing. Accoyo Apple Blossom carries some impressive lineage in her pedigree. Her maternal side carries Accoyo Atticus -multipe champion including AOBA Reserve Champion, Caligula -perhaps the most respected Accoyo herdsire imported from Peru and Accoyo Zen Do - from Don Barreda's B-line bred for fineness and perfect uniformity of fleece. Apple's dam, Thai Blossom is a stunning girl with excellent micron statistics, a gorgeous head, nice coverage and incredibly dense fiber. Apple's sire is Accoyo Spartan, a '98 in-utero import out of Accoyo Andorra. Andorra was selected for importation based on the fineness and uniformity of her fleece. Her co-efficient of variation at the time of importation was just 17.5! Accoyo Spartan was best known for the density of his fleece. Last year he sheared 13 pounds of fiber at age 10! Spartan resided at Auress Alpacas until his death earlier this year. Apple Blossom was the last cria he sired. His genetics are rare and combined beautifully with the Caligula and Zen Do lines in Accoyo Apple Blossom. With the intense denstiy coming from both her maternal and paternal sides, we were not surprised to see at shearing time that Apple had those Accoyo neck wrinkles. We were, however, surprised that she has them non-stop going from her head to her back. We are very pleased with the look and feel of this young girl's fleece. We think she is going to be simply outstanding. Accoyo Apple Blossom comes with a breeding to the Ideuma Creek herdsire of your choice when she is ready. We would recommend our 8X champion and 16 time blue ribbon winner, Accoyo Invasion. We can also offer our blue ribbon fawn Accoyo, Ironman, a Victor son or our multiple ribbon winner, Accoyo Cuba. Cuba is a dark fawn Express son. Any of these boys should make a beautiful full Accoyo cria with Apple. She will be ready to breed this spring.
