AML Legacy's Accoyo Leonardo

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Beige
AOA# 848970DOB: 10/2/200321 yrs
Leonardo's crias began to arrive in 2006, and he is consistently passing on his overall "look" and stunning fiber. Leonardo's first cria, in 2006, AML Nobility has had a phenomenal show record: Five Color Championships, three Reserve Color Championships, and nine blue ribbons; plus Judge's Choice and Best Crimp at the 2009 MAPACA as a two-year-old And other of his crias have shown well too: **AML Susanah (grey): One Color Championship **Pine Hill’s Crème Brulee (medium fawn): Three first places, one second place **Calidad Cruise Control (white): Three second places, one third place (in highly competitive white male juvie classes) **Calidad Roxanne: One first place (only show) You won't find many other working males with histogram results to compare to Leonardo's. Leonardo's micron count at 5 years of age is only 21.6, and as you can see from the annual histograms below on the left, his statistics have remained the same for four years in a row (since he was a yearling)! One of our primary breeding goals is fineness that lasts as the alpaca ages, and Leonardo is helping us achieve that goal. Leonardo is one of very few full Accoyo sons of 4P Legacy, now deceased, a herdsire who was legendary for his fiber remaining very fine past ten years of age and for producing highly prized offspring. With 4Peruvian Legacy as his sire and Accoyo Grand Master daughter as his grandsire, Leonardo has spectacular lineage. He has beautiful, fine, bright, soft, crimpy, consistent fleece. Solid bone, a pleasing head, and all-around excellent conformation complete the picture of a top herdsire. One judge described him at 3-1/2 years old as a "superb male." A half interest in Leonardo is for sale. I plan to retain the other half interest. Fleece samples and histograms are available for multiple years.

Dam: Accoyo Tayberry of Pacific Crest

Caligula Daughter Bred to 8X Champion

Accoyo Tayberry of Pacific Crest

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 820515DOB: 7/8/200024 yrs
We are pleased to announce our partnership with Stone Ridge Alpacas on this beautiful Caligula daughter! Accoyo Tayberry is about as close as you can come to stepping right off the Accoyo Ranch. Her dam, Tayabamba, is a full Accoyo foundation female for Accoyos of America. Tayabama's import record boasts a + for crimp, lock, leg, body and head and a ++ for density. She is the dam to PCA Accoyo Bolivar and Jedi Accoyo. Tayberry's sire, Caligula, is considered by many to be the greatest herd sire imported into this country. He passed away in 2003 making Tayberry one of the last and closest links to his genetics. Caligula is an 8X Get-of-Sire Champion. Our farm is heavy with Caligula genetics - and for good reason. The density, fineness and form that are consistently produced by our Caligula offspring, our El Nino offspring and our Michaelangelo offspring is impressive and has earned us many accolades in the showring. We have found that pairing these Caligula genetics with Invasion has resulted in simply spectacular cria. Thus, we have decided without any hesitation to breed Tayberry to Invasion. Accoyo Invasion is an 8X champion with 16 blue ribbons, The Best Brightness Award and The Judge's Choice Award. His offspring have won 14 Championships with 4 different cria taking The Best Brightness Awards and 3 different cria taking The Best Crimp Award. Ideuma Creek's Bo Jangles, owned by Prairie's Edge Alpacas, just took The Judge's Choice at MOPACA. It is without question that Invasion passes on his elite fleece to his offspring. When paired with a dam as strong as Tayberry, their cria is sure to be spectacular. We are also offering Tayberry in a very attractive package with Accoyo Sonia, another full Accoyo bred female for $19,500. Sonia is bred to Accoyo Stratosphere and is due with her first cria in the summer 2011. It's an incredible package deal.

SA Avenger's Accoyo Invasion

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Beige
AOA# 1390230DOB: 5/27/200420 yrs
With 8 championships & 16 blue ribbons, Invasion is one of the top full Accoyo colored herdsires in the country. With 13 champion cria, it has become clear that Invasion is passing on his elite fleece characteristics to his offspring. Invasion is adding outstanding crimp, color, density, brightness & well respected lineage to his cria. As evident from his own show record, judges around the country agree that Invasion is an elite alpaca. Now statistics from his recent skin biopsy test support his caliber of fleece. In addition his first Ideuma Creek cria are doing outstanding in fleece shows. Using all of the tools available, Invasion keeps proving time & time again that he is a superior herdsire. If you're looking to add density, consider Invasion's skin biopsy report done by Ian Watt: Follicle Denisty - 65.28 Secondary:Primary Ratio 14.4 : 1 "This is a high quality male whose primary breeding objective should be to deliver elite fleece trait genetics in any breeding plan, especially where color is a consideration" - Ian Watt Invasion's cria have more than impressive results. In just three years of showing our Ideuma Creek Invasion cria, they have earned 14 championships, 5 different cria have earned the BEST BRIGHTNESS award and 3 different cria have won the BEST CRIMP award. In addition, Ideuma Creek's Bo Jangles (owned by Prairie's Edge Alpacas) just took JUDGE'S CHOICE at MOPACA! As you would expect, Invasion does not come by these elite fleece traits by chance. He is a Royal Fawn grandson. His genetics come from well respected & well tested lineages. At age 6, he still holds fantastic crimp & fineness. Invasion is passing on color as well. He has produced every color cria including BLACK as well as superior white cria. Proudly co-owned with NYALA.

Description

Included in our ABUNDANCE OF ACCOYOS SALE - we have to make room for our 2012 cria. This price is for a limited time only and is more than half off! For more information or to view a complete list of alpacas included in this sale, visit our website at www.icalpacas.com Accoyo Moonstruck is one of the densest alpacas we have here on the farm (and that says a lot when you have 50 Accoyos on the farm!) She has incredible crimp and just an amazing amount of fleece. The reason for this abundance - her genetics. Moonstruck is a full Accoyo out of Pacific Crest Tayberry, a Caligula daughter. Her sire is Accoyo Leonardo, a champion out of Legacy. How can you get any better than these genetics? Royal Fawn? We've taken care of it! Moonstruck is bred to our 8X champion, 16X blue ribbon winning herdsire, Accoyo Invasion, a Royal fawn grandson, for her very first cria. We're expecting an elite fleeced cria - with outstanding crimp and density. When you breed two full Accoyos of such quality, one expects no less. Invasion's cria have earned 18 championships, 6 best brightness awards, 3 best crimp awards and the Judge's Choice award - many times the dams of these cria were not nearly as nice as Moonstruck. Imagine what the two of them will produce! Moonstruck is at the very beginning of her reproductive career. She is due with her very first cria this year.
