Accoyo Mayflower

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 30359086DOB: 5/22/200519 yrs
Mayflower is exactly what you would expect her to be based on her lineage. She has incredible dense crimpy fine fiber, excellent coverage, & beautiful conformation. She is a full Accoyo blend of Caligula & Vengador genetics. Her dam, Safflower, was purchased at Pacific Crest's Parade of Champions sale. Safflower is the daughter of Caligula & Sajoma, Pacific Crest's first choice in the '95 importation. Mayflower's sire is Vengador's Accoyo Robinson Crusoe owned by Flying Pony Alpacas & Always Accoyo Alpacas. He is a very dense, typey hersire with bright, high character fleece like his sire, Vengador. Mayflower is an experience dam with excellent mothering tendencies. She delivered her first cria out of Accoyo Pinachi, in the summer of '08 & proved herself to be an excellent mom. Her delivery was problem free. She had plenty of milk & her cria, Sunflower Girl, grew fast & strong & has since had a remarkable cria, Accoyo Cosmo, at Rock Garden Alpacas. Mayflower's fleece is exquisite. She is extremely dense, very crimpy & her fleece has a very soft handle. In 2010 Mayflower gave us an incredible Accoyo girl, Elizabeth Tilly who took a blue at her very first (and only) halter show. Tim Lavan loved her look and her fleece and placed her over 8 other beautiful white girls in a very competitive class. At Tilley's very first (and only) fleece show she took the championship. We are thrilled with her fiber, coverage and conformation, and we'd love another one just like her!

If you're looking to add density, consider Invasion's skin biopsy report done by Ian Watt: Follicle Denisty - 65.28 Secondary:Primary Ratio 14.4 : 1 "This is a high quality male whose primary breeding objective should be to deliver elite fleece trait genetics in any breeding plan, especially where color is a consideration" - Ian Watt Invasion's cria have more than impressive results. In just three years of showing our Ideuma Creek Invasion cria, they have earned 14 championships, 5 different cria have earned the BEST BRIGHTNESS award and 3 different cria have won the BEST CRIMP award. In addition, Ideuma Creek's Bo Jangles (owned by Prairie's Edge Alpacas) just took JUDGE'S CHOICE at MOPACA! As you would expect, Invasion does not come by these elite fleece traits by chance. He is a Royal Fawn grandson. His genetics come from well respected & well tested lineages. At age 6, he still holds fantastic crimp & fineness. Invasion is passing on color as well. He has produced every color cria including BLACK as well as superior white cria. Proudly co-owned with NYALA.

Description

Accoyo Sunflower Girl embodies the trusted genetics of well known Accoyos & adds the proven yet uncommon genetics of rare Accoyo lineages. The result of such a pairing is this young, beautiful little girl, Sunflower, who just drips with potential and possiblity. Check out her fiber stats - 18.1 micron! Sunflower's dam is Accoyo Mayflower, a Caligula & Vengador grandaughter. Mayflower's dam, Safflower, was purchased at Pacific Crest's Parade of Champions auction in 2003 & went back to Accoyos of America to be bred. Greg Mecklem recommended Vengador's Robinson Crusoe, & the result was Accoyo Mayflower, Sunflower's dam. Mayflower has extraordinarily dense, crimpy fine fleece. She is a beautiful alpaca with the elite fleece characteristics that high quality & well bred Accoyos are known for. Accoyo Pinachi adds the proven, yet rare Accoyo genetics to Sunflower's pedigree. Pinachi was one of the best alpacas to come from one of the last imports from Peru in 1998. He was personally selected for Derwydd Alpacas by Julio Sumar. Pinachi's fleece was super dense, bundled and crimpy with a high sheen. Pinachi stamped these elite fleece characteristics onto his cria as proven with the show records of his offspring. Derwydd Alpacas reported that "the fiber on his cria is to die for". Pinachi died in 2007 from pneumonia, & with only 38 cria on the ground, his incredible genetics are very rare, very sought after, & can no longer be reproduced. Accoyo Sunflower girl was the very last cria sired by Pinachi. We have bred Accoyo Sunflower Girl to our 8X Champion, 16X blue ribbon winning beige Accoyo Herdsire, Invasion. Invasion will add Royal Fawn & Avenger genetics to Sunflower's pedigree. His cria are doing outstanding in the showring. We have shown just 4 fleeces from our Invasion cria and they have taken home 9 championships, 2 best crimp awards, and three of the four fleeces have earned the best brightness award! Invasion and Sunflower Girl should make a simply fantastic fleeced full Accoyo cria.
