NGG Accoyo Santana

SuriHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 1075045DOB: 5/21/200321 yrs
This full Accoyo herdsire has tremendous density, very macho presence, huge bone structure, and eye-to-toe coverage. His fiber stats at two years of age were impressive; 18.1 micron with a CF of 99.7. His dam still has a micron count of 22.7 at over 13 years of age. Santana's regrowth has fantastic definition and luster. Consistent with his sire's color, he has produced fawn full Accoyo offspring with white dams. Santana's Skin Biopsy numbers are in from Ian Watt Density: 48.2 /mm2 Secondary:Primary fiber ratio: 9.6 :1 In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 24.71µ Standard Deviation: 2.9 µ Range: 17.9 µ to 32.7 µ In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter: 17.1 µ Standard Deviation: 2.6 µ Range: 11.7 µ to 25.0 µ Comments: This male is showing good density well supported by a reasonable S:P ratio and very even primary and secondary fiber populations as evidenced by the Standard Deviation numbers. The follicles are clustered together in tight groups which leads to lower SD’s as the fibers tend to grow more quickly and uniformly due to the population pressure in each follicle group. This male sits above the median for white suri and should deliver considerable improvement to good quality female alpacas. Santana is the full brother to Kori ( dam to 7 time champion Durango ( Kori x Macgyver ).

Description

We knew Erika was something special when she was born. She had an incredible fleece, and a great frame to carry it on from day one. We liked Erika so much that we sent her and her mom outside our farm for a breeding...Boy we had no idea what the future held... Her mom unexpectidly died when we transported her to another farm for a breeding. Erika was our third bottle baby in our first 2 years in business, but she was also our strongest willed cria. Even after losing her mom, and having to rely on us for milk, she still fought us when we tried to offer her love and comfort. She would drink and run...After hundreds of dollars in goats milk, and countless hours of lovingly raising Erika, she has repaid us many times over... When we sent her first fleece into the Suri Network show in 2010, we were absolutely shocked to find that she had recieved the color championship in a white class!!! Erika delivered a show stopping female for her first cria. This cria is out of Accoyo Montoyo, and is easily our best show prospect for the 2013 show season.
