Solid production, solid health, solid genetics! Sierra has been a fantastic foundation girl for us creating 7 terrific cria. Check out Josie (multi-champ sold), Capri (2xRCC), Seismic a TB who has taken many 2nd places behind undefeated 1/2 brother Jacob Black(retaining), Almond Joy (sold). She had a white male cria on July 10, 2012 who looks like a replica of full sister Capri (both having taken their color from Sierra's dam)He has now sold!. DaCheck out our Alpacanation site for these animals photos and awards. She has recently been bred to Adonis' Dozer, a champion bay black with Legacy/Royal Fawn/Black Magic genetics. My guess is that she will have a superior fleeced, fantastically conformed cria that wins high ribbons in a colored class. This fantastic price includes a breeding to a solely owned herdsire. If you want fawn, breed her to Accoyo Impeccable for a surefire champion. His fee is $1500 so that is an incredible deal. PHA Accoyo Impeccable is one of the winningest full accoyos out there! He is light fawn and will make an excellent cria with Sierra. If you want a darker cria, perhaps Cloud Pleaser would be an excellent choice as he has incredible fineness to compliment her incredible density.
This is a great opportunity to add value to your herd. Sierra's sire is the now deceased Winchester who was one of Hobby Horse Farms famous "Producers". Her dam is an Avalon Farms champion producer. I can also provide tips on future breedings having thoroughly researched other studs she was bred with and having them raised here until after show careers. This price is not reflective of Sierra at all. She is a great producer, easy to handle, easy keeper with great maternal instincts. I just need to reduce my herd to the 30 alpaca.
Sierra had another amazing cria in June of 2015 named Darby. She has flawless conformation, silky shiny small bundled fleece with very nice density. She is really a black in disguise with black skin, points, toenails and eyeliner.
Darby took a 1st in a tough class at a the MOPACA 2016! Check out her other show wins including a 1st at the 2017 Nationals!
Sierra is in her twilight years at 16 1/2. Unless she can go with a few other elderly females to a warmer climate, she will continue to live here with double coats and a heat pad in the winter!
