Coyo Destini has had an enormous impact on the Canadian herd. Purchased as a yearling in 1997 in the U.S. by the highly respected AOBA judge Kristin Buhrmann, he formed the cornerstone of her family's high-level, prize-winning breeding program at Mountain Meadow Ranch in Alberta, Canada until 2002. Coyo Destini has well over 100 offspring on the ground, but his genetics are rare in the U.S., especially on the East Coast. Imported in utero from the Accoyo Ranch in Peru, Coyo Destini's sire is unknown (and remained in Peru). His dam, 3Peruvian Caliente, has been a top producer for Timberland Alpacas on the West Coast, where she was recently retired from breeding. A two-time grand champion in Canada himself, Coyo Destini has produced offspring that have dominated the Canadian show ring. HFL Super Sam, owned by High Plains Alpacas in Saskatchewan, is a stunning example. Breeders familiar with Coyo Destini know him to consistently pass on long-lasting fineness, good density, well-defined crimp, and his trademark gentle temperament. A large percentage of Coyo's male offspring are working herdsires, and he is known to be an easy breeder. He has also produced a range of color. ************************** Sadly, Coyo Destini passed away in Maine on January 6, 2009, at 13 years of age. What a wonderful male he was—such a gentleman and the producer of some phenomenal offspring. He will be missed.

4P Legacy daughter

Crescent Moon's Flirtation

HuacayaBred (Female)Beige
AOA# 838499DOB: 7/2/200222 yrs
***Priced to sell*** A daughter of 4P Legacy, Crescent Moon's Flirtation has her sire's strong conformation, solid bone, and classic head, as well as a bright and soft-handling fleece with a low SD and CV. The fineness of her fiber was unchanged between ages 3 and 5 (see histogram results). Flirtation is a breeder's dream--an easy birther, easy breeder, has lots of milk, and is an attentive mother. She is a very solid production female. Flirtation's sire, 4P Accoyo Legacy, is a legend in his own time. His many exceptional progeny include Legacy Gold, Snowmass Millenium, and our own AML Legacy's Accoyo Leonardo, to name only three. Legacy is no longer available for outside breedings. Flirtation has been a steady producer, with three crias on the ground, sired by Coyo Destini, 4P Chaccu, and Accoyo Elite. Her beige/fawn dam, Charlamaigne, has also been a steady producer for years--with seven crias on the ground, including several in dark colors. Flirtation herself has produced light fawn, and we believe she has the capacity to produce even darker color. Flirtation recently gave birth to a stunning white Coyo Destini son. She is being bred back to Calidad Harbinger, the fawn, Reserve Champion son of Accoyo The Last Don and our multi-champion Cinnamon Gold, for a May 2009 cria. I need to make space for new crias and so have reduced her price to $9500, which includes her male cria at side.

Description

Calidad Olivia is a 3/4 Accoyo daughter of Coyo Destini and granddaughter of 4P Legacy. Olivia has good proportions and a nice solid frame. She is currently being bred to Calidad Harbinger (our medium fawn son of Accoyo The Last Don and our multi-champion CT/CCNF Cinnamon Gold) for a spring 2009 cria. Harbinger brings color, as well as excellent fleece structure, staple length, and density to the match. Harbinger's first cria, Calidad Gabriel, was born in spring 2008 to Olivia's dam, Crescent Moon's Flirtation--he is remarkable, and we expect the same of Olivia's cria.
