Helios

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn

IN MEMORY OF A GREAT NORTH AMERICAN HERDSIRE: It saddens us to to announce the passing of Helios. In every breeder's journey there are milestones that mark each step forward. The addition of Helios to our farm was one of those monumental steps. In a joint partnership with Jerry & Deby French of Eagle Valley Alpacas, and Wayne and Susie Kunzman of Green Valley Alpacas we were thrilled at the arrival of Helios to our stud barn. and he lived up to his name, producing several awesome cria for us. This Futurity Champion, fawn Peruvian son of Bruxo, was the "king of locks" for fawn suris. He had been one of the cornerstone herdsires for the Pacific Crest suri breeding program, and closely held with fewer than 30 of his 63 offspring born off the Accoyo America farm in his nine year breeding history. When he was offered at the 2010 Parade of Champions Auction we knew we had to add his proven genetics to our breeding program. He is best known for his Championship Fawn offspring including: Accoyo America Cochise (six 1st places, 4 Championships), Pacific Crest Sonnetina (two 1st places), Accoyo America Encantada (three 1st places), Accoyo America Sonneteer (three 1st places), Accoyo America Helix (1st & Champion at AOBA National), Pacific Crest Honeysuckle (three 1st places, one Reserve & one Championship), Accoyo America Arwen (1st & Reserve Color Champion). He has also produced Bay Black & Silver Grey so we will definitely let him prove himself on our females with deep color pedigrees. With an admirable show record, impressive yearling histogram yet to be matched in the Pacific Crest program, proven progeny record, lustrous locking to the skin fleece still at 15 years old, Helios was definitely one of the "GREATS". Although Helios is not longer with us, his legacy lives on in the wonderful offspring that he produced for us. We will expect our first cria from his daugters in 2014. Stay tuned......

ATV Que Lilly

SuriBred (Female)Beige
AOA# 20022983DOB: 9/5/200618 yrs
BRED TO FULL ACCOYO GREASED LIGHTNING. Que Lilly is a very typey suri alpaca. She is perfectly proportioned, with an excellent bite, dense fleece with distinct locking. She has a very pleasing personality and is such an easy girl to keep. The picture of health, she just never has any problems. Que Lilly's first cria, Que Lita sold as a weanling. She has produced four more gorgeous cria including one that is a Reserve Champion. It is easy to see her genetics from the incredible Inca who is now deceased. Inca was truely an impact herdsire who produced many champion offspring. Que Lilly's dam Que Linda has also produced champions and has also had a tremendous impact on the N. American herd by giving birth to 15 wonderful cria and was still producing at age 18. Que Linda passed away at the age of 22 so now Que Lilly takes her place as one of our top foundation females. Que Lilly gave birth to a lovely beige female cria, Emily sired by Helios on 6/24/2011. Emily has apricot on her top knot and neck and wonderfully fine (18 micron) and locked fleece. The result was so good that she was rebred to Helios for a 2012 cria and the result is even better. We will look forward to our 2014 cria sired by Accoyo Greased Lightning.

Description

Sired by All American Futurity Champion, Helios. Helios is now deceased and this is the only way to get his genetics in your herd. The genetics don't get any better than this. Emily is the daughter of our own Que Lilly who was sired by multi champion producer Zues Rose and Champion producing import Que Linda. Que Linda was a 94 import from the Alianza Region of Peru and rated #1 when they were classifiying the imports. When we matched Que Lilly with Helios we knew that we would get nothing less than excellence. She will be a vigorous, well fleeced, female. We expect her to follow the footsteps of her dam and grand dam and be excellent mothers with lots of milk and extremely easy births. Anyone focusing on a suri Peruvian herd (or anyone for that matter) would be lucky to have this girl in there breeding program. Emily has a perfect bite, well conformed, excellently locked fleece, with luster and low micron. She has an exceptionally calm demeener and is very easy to handle. Her top knot and back of her neck have peach color so I would expect that some color could come through with the right breeding as her sire has produced every color including black. Emily has been bred to Rawlings for a June 2014 cria. Transportation is buyers responsibility. Double D will offer to transport within 100 miles of our farm at no charge to purchaser.
