Our Snowmass Nova son has arrived and has already begun his breeding career. His density will amaze you. His coverage is fantastic. He has great crimp a nice soft hand. As of July 23 2013 he has had 3 cria delivered. All 3 solid colored females. 2 brown and 1 fawn out of brown females. He is everything we were hoping for in a herd sire. His 2014 crop of cria are incredible. We started with a true black and the rest are light fawn or white. However, several were born at only 9 or 10 pounds. At first I thought it was due to the harsh winter only. But when these tiny creatures got up and nursed and refused to take any supplementing, I knew that Jekyll will produce smaller sized cria. He is on the small side himself. So if you are interested in developing smaller alpacas, this is the herdsire for you. We brought a couple of our very small yearlings to the Michigan Show this Fall. Our True black came in 5th in a competitive class of 9. Expecting to get the gate because of his size, we were so pleased that his wonderful fleece qualities kept him in the top 6. One of the whites was in a class of ten very large alpacas. He did get the gate but the judge made a point of letting us know how great the fiber was but he was just so small. Now we are committed to trying to explore the possibility of creating a smaller yet high quality line of huacaya alpaca. He will be very useful also to breed with females that may be a little smaller and not have to worry about her having a large cria. We have his fee at $200. We are willing to discount for multiple breedings. Jekyll is producing beautiful cria that are often smaller but still very nice quality

Night Wish has the most amazing fiber. It is super fine and super bright. Nice and crimpy with a wonderful handle. She took 3rd out of 7 in Ohio. Wade Gease stopped in his tracks when he touched her fiber. He looked her all over before moving on to check the next alpaca. When he discussed why she placed where she did he kept talking about her fine hand. He admitted that he would love to see her when she grew up because she was at an unbalanced juvenile stage. Yes she must have been going through a growth spurt because she won 1st out of 7 at the Michigan Breeders show. She was the youngest in the class but not the smallest. Unfortunately there was not enough for a color championship. In the fall she took 2nd in a very large class and took Reserve Color champion behind the first place winner in her class. Everyone wanted to touch her and couldn't get over the brightness that even showed at the surface. She is true black right to the tips. There is no sun fading. The spring show in Michigan proved her to be a true color champion. We are shearing her and then breeding her to our fawn Snowmass Nova son. We have a price to show her value. We may keep her as a foundation since her sire passed away after only producing 2 offspring. Both have proved themselves in the ring. Her brother has basically the same fiber as she has. Check out Black ops her half brother. Once again she has wowed the judge. This time in the fleece room. She was first in Black Adult with 75 points. The judges comment was: Wow! Incredible brightness. Now she is a mom. She delivered a beautiful true black boy we are calling him Night Rider. Her second cria is a true black female that is a farm favorite Night Fury. Her third cria another female. A medium brown we named Erza Scarlet
