An impressive pure Alianza Peruvian, Bravado is our foundation herdsire - in the true sense of the word: the male we built our breeding program on.
This guy is fineness personified, with flawless conformation. Just look at the beautiful bundling in his fleece. His micron count at his ninth shearing was 21.8! That's LASTING fineness.
Bravado is the result of combining the finest and most proven Peruvian alpaca genetics in North America: Bueno and Hemingway. Bueno is owned by Mike & Robin Tierney of MapleBrook Farm. His stud fee was $10,000, until he stopped breeding about a year ago. Bueno has sired over 100 winning offspring, and we believe Bravado is one of his best.
Bravado's dam, NWA,Ltd Marcie contributes another line of proven superior genetics: the world famous Hemingway. Marcie's dam is Macarena, making her a full sister to well known sires Predictor, Hektor and Handsome.
Bravado's crias have fantastic fleeces! Don't take my word for it, come see for yourself.
Bravado is proudly co-owned with Ben and Gina Morgan of Morgan's Fortunato Farm. Breedings can be arranged at either farm. Call or email today to reserve yours.
Bravado had skin biopsies evaluated by both Dr. Norm Evans and Dr. Jim Watts; call to see a copy!

Dam: MFI Peruvian Dandelion
We consider Dandelion part of our foundation herd because her fleece is so exceptional, she is a daughter of the famous Peruvian Dakotia, and she gave us the fantastic Bravado daughter Bravado's Diamond. If she can produce cria like Diamond we would have to get a very high offer to let her go to someone else's farm. She had her second Maple Brook Bravado cria two days ago, November 28, 2005, and although it is a little early to make predictions it looks likely that he will be just as nice as his sister. After two like that, how could we not breed her back to Bravado again? She is easy to breed; she is very strong when she delivers and she nurses her offspring exceptionally well. These are the ones you only sell to a really motivated buyer who won't take no for an answer.
December 2005 update: Bravado's Defiance was born on November 29th. He is a beautiful medium fawn and perfect in every way.
December 2006 update: Handsome Dancer was born December 23. He has a marking that I have never seen on an alpaca before, a dark brown STRIPE that goes all the way around his tail. Dandelion will be bred again in 21 days.
October 2007 update: Dancer was such a hit that Dandelion has been breed once more to Handsome. The cria is due in January of 2008
May 2008 update: Dancer's little brother, Handsome Dasher, was born right on schedule in January.
July 2009---Bravado's Dan is born. Full brother to Defiance, and the same beautiful medium fawn color!
Sixth Day Farm proudly co-owns Dandelion with Kinney Valley Alpacas.

Description
'Diamonds are forever', and we would like to keep her that long! She is exactly what we are breeding for, which is why she was listed in our foundation herd until now. Her progeny are the best example of why it was wise of us to keep her until now, and why she would be a good addition to your foundation herd.
Those who saw Diamond at the 2006 Empire show know we turned down a large offer for her. It was hard to say no, but this kind of female is nearly irreplaceable, except by her own - carefully bred - progeny.
*Look carefully through our sales list for closely related alpacas at great prices.*
Sire - Maple Brook Bravado!
Dam - 'MFI Peruvian' Dandelion is the kind of solid producer that every breeder relies on. Sired by MFI Peruvian Dakotia - sire of Jericho, grandsire of Jeremiah - Dandelion has the pedigree to back her up. No wonder she puts a good cria on the ground, year after year.
Note: Maple Brook Bravado, when bred to another Matador granddaughter, sired AlpacaPalace Houdini - 8 time Banner winner!!! Houdini was bred, owned, and shown by a SMALL Farm! Congratulations to Rick & Renee Ritenour on their success with Houdini.
Produce:
2008 - white male, Mister Destiny by Mister Maverick
2009 - Liberty's Dinah, white female. A very impressive Liberty daughter with super fine, bright fleece.
2010 - 3D Bueno, by Maple Brook Bolero!!! This is the kind of pedigree recongnized for centuries by master breeders to 'concentrate' positive traits and create prepotent sires. A show prospect!
2012 --Francisco D'Anconia - sired by The Allianza Prophecy. Another great example of the supreme "nick" between Prophecy and Bravado daughters
2014- Diamante - a white male sired by Liberty
