Ascent has a cria on the ground & he has won two blues so far! AuSable Valley's Ascent has exquisite fleece and solid conformation with very nice head style & full coverage. His fleece is crimpy and soft with lots of staple and bundling. Ascent started how show career with five blue ribbons & a banner in his first five shows: 2007 North American Alpaca Show Judge Vanderbosch commented "soft handle, nice character, good density, perfect conformation. 2007 MAPACA Jubilee Judge McCloud said: Ascent had good overall size development for his age and considerable testicular development. She appreciated his strong frame and correctness & that he was "packing lots of fleece with impressive staple, even character and fineness" Ascent took another blue! He bested a big class at Empire where Judge Timmerman said "I was impressed by all aspects of this boy, he is put together very well, perfect form, proportions are correct, substance of bone, bite, a stunning male with stunning fleece carrying softness, brightness, excellent crimp and excellent length of staple, very even fleece characteristics across the body." Ascent was awarded a blue at VT. He was in VERY close consideration for the reserve championship. Judge Burhman commented that she wished she could have given two reserves because he is such a nice male". Ascent won his 5th blue in 5 tries at the 2007 NJ show and topped off the year with a R Color Championship! Judge Barboza-"well packaged, flawless conformation, nice combination of staple length, density and uniform character throughout his fleece, incredibly soft handle and great brightness." Description

Caine is another of our favorite crias this year. He is the son of Ausable Valley's Ascent who during his show career won ten blue ribbons & two banners. His dam is Predictor's Eden who also took blue in the show ring. Raising Caine has terrific fleece and solid conformation with an awesome head style & full coverage. His fleece is crimpy and soft with lots of staple and bundling. We are excited to get him back in the show ring this spring. He took a 1st and a 2nd in his first 2 outings. We expect great results from him. Update: Amanda VanderBosch commented at the Northeast Expo that she loved Caines small, balanced frame. She enjoyed his fineness and soft handle. Caine will begin his breeding career in the spring of 2012. Call now to reserve a breeding. We will offer the first 5 breedings at $500.
