!!Update!! First Place Get of Sire, PAOBA 2013, with three juvies! Royal Peruvian High Definition is a full Peruvian four time color champion, medium silver gray male out of the well know program of Mary Reed of Chagrin Valley Alpacas. He is a stunning male with perfect square proportions, solid bone, level top line and beautiful classic huacaya look. His fleece is amazing. Its buttery soft handle will take your breath away and his consistency of crimp is amazing for his color, a rich medium silver gray. He is a FULL brother to Royal Peruvian High Voltage, also a multi-champion, who is consistently producing gray offspring. His full sister is another stunner who sold for $45,000! His sire, the well known Snowmass Casanova, has been known to throw champion after champion, and was one time considered by Snowmass alpacas to be the best grey herdsire they ever created. His dam has obviously proven she has what is takes to produce. His show record is also notable with four champion banners and one reserve, numerous first place ribbons and a second place at the AOBA National show behind the Color Champion. We finally have enough High Definition crias on the ground to comment on his offspring. He is producing gray when bred to gray or black dams or dams with gray in their background. He has produced a black, fawn and gray when bred to fawn. His gray offspring tend not to have spots in the blanket they are all solid, classic gray and classic rose gray. He produces a cria with solid conformation and his stunning fleece, very fine, very dense. Limited outside breeding. Proudly Co-owned with Bear's Den Alpacas.

Sea Lily is an example of an alpaca that has received the best of both parents. Her sire Pacifica's d'Peruvian Seacrest produces a consistent huacaya phenotype, fleece that is fine, consistent, filled with crimp and friendly easy going alpacas. However, he is white. Angelica's Lily has produced an array of colorful crias, most of them gray and Sea Lily is her spitting image in color. Sea Lily had a short show career but did well considering her color. As a dark silver gray she had to compete against the other gray females in the lineup. The judge liked everything she saw but placed her based on fineness in fourth.

Description

High Octane is a stunning medium silver gray male that has a classic huacaya phenotype. If you are looking for gray genetics, both of his parents are gray, three of his grandparents and four of his great grandparents are also gray. He is the combination of silver gray Royal Peruvian High Definition, a four time champion out of Snowmass Peruvian Cassanova and Sea Lily a dark silver gray out of Pacifica's d'Peruvian Seacrest. He has correct conformation with straight legs and a level topline, and a good bite. He has beautiful coverage and a lovely huacaya head. If I had any complaints at all with this young fellow, I would say he is a little small for his age. That being said neither of his parents are big alpacas, and he is consistently growing and both testicles are descended and in the scrotum. He is in excellent health and loves to romp with his friends in the pasture. His fleece has exceptional consistency of color and is very bright. It is quite fine and does have that nice crimp style that we are working for in our gray alpacas. He has a white style crimp in a lovely color. The judges at Mapaca and Paoba both had very complimentary things to say about this fellow and his placements certainly show that he is a contender. We produced three High Definition boys this year and have bred mom back for a fall 2013 cria and this is why we are willing to part with this little guy. We have learned over the years that you can't keep them all!
