AOA #32261530 | DOB: 7/20/2011 (13 yrs)
Sire: DDF Double Dutch Magnum
32261530<--ari-->Medium Fawn<--color-->DDF MAGNUM is a medium fawn descendant from two of the finest suri alpacas ever imported into the United States. Magnum’s sire, Accoyo Viceroy D252, is from the great Pperuvian Uribe (Durazno) the first full accoyo fawn male imported into the U.S and his dam, DDF Magnolia, is from the great Pperuvian Bruxo one of the last original imports from the Accoyo Suri breeding program in South America. These combined genetics have made an enormous contribution to the American Suri Alpaca herd and it continues with DDF Magnum a ¾ Accoyo fawn male. Rumor has it, many experienced breeder are now going back to older genetics and reintroducing them into their breeding program. Here’s your chance to do the same. Magnum is throwing really nice offspring adding density and luster. <--description-->

Contessa, like her dam, is a very large framed girl. She has proven to put a lot of density into her offspring and so far has produced all white. Even when bred to our medium fawn 3/4 accoyo herdsire Magnum. Contessa x Magnum produced a very nice white male Weisshorn of NRMA; our best male to date with incredible histograms.
Currently bred to the great Hugo, we are expecting a wonderful lustrous, dense offspring.

NRMA participated in the Suri Networks "Suri Herd Improvement Program (SHIP)". The primary goal of the SHIP program is to provide a variety of tools for herd improvement and management of Suri Phenotype and Fiber qualities for Suri Network members. The classification consisted of the following:
A. The evaluation of 15 phenotypic traits based on the Suri Breed Standard and research data.
B. A hands-on herd review by a certified Suri classifier using a point system for evaluating individual alpacas. The point system is a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (High) of each of the phenotypic traits.
C. The collection of trait data for the Suri database and EPD programs.
D. Owners receive a herd report that identifies strengths and weaknesses of individual animals for specific traits
that can be used in selection, breeding and marketing of their Suris.
This program included ALL suri alpacas on our ranch whether registered or not. We do have all of our alpacas registered.

Description
Watch out now! This boy is hot!
Its amazing to see this boys go through puberty. One minute this guy is a small regular white guy. Then BAM! He matures and everything changes. This is what we want to produce on our ranch. Perfect head, alpha stance with elegant profile, with amazing fleece. You should really see this guy on top of a mound. Sexy!
Weisshorn named after prominent peak in the Swiss Alps of Europe -The Weisshorn. Weisshorn means White Mountain. I had the pleasure of climbing this massive mountain in August of 2011. Before leaving for the climbing expedition, I had not picked a name for the delightful cria. Upon my return and after being on the summit of this great mountain, I knew the name would fit him well.
Weisshorn again has very strong genetic lines. Sired by our great Magnum, Magnum's lineage consists of the PPeruvian import including Uribe Rita, Bruxo, Reina. As for his Dam, our own Contessa, her lineage includes Santiago, Sanchia, and Joselo. All PPeruvian imports.
His statics are the best on the ranch. Though he is just a yearling, we know he is going to be a future white herdsire. With his bloodlines and fiber stats, you can't go wrong. Take advantage of this young junior herdsire and add him to your herd.
Fiber stats:
MFD: 18.8, SD: 4.2, CV: 22.6%, <30mic: 1.1%, MC: 14.6
