Co-owned by Renaissance Ridge Alpacas and UINTA ALPACAS and residing in Utah right off of I-80 for easy transport access! Gun's A'Blazin' did in fact come into our herd in a "blaze" and took us through an incredible ride as a youngster. He was without question the best fleeced alpaca that we had seen in our herd. He went on to have a brilliant show career and start his breeding career at only 23 months of age. He was biopsied and follicle tested by Ian Watt and as of July 2010, is the densest non white alpaca ever tested by or either through him or Jim Watt's lab in Australia, of any in the world. Although we rely heavily on biopsies for density, we put equal importance on histograms and especially "hand and eye", none of which Blaze has disappointed us with. More importantly, his production has been nothing less than outstanding having produced champions in grey, black, brown and fawn. We have our own "in house" EPD system and unfortunately are unable to demonstrate the analytics on Blaze's offspring. All of the ones in our herd have been done to date (9/2015): Have a look at the data on the his page on the Renaissance Ridge website...the remarkable thing in our breeding scheme is not only that he has consistently and dramatically improved fiber density over the dams, many of whose data can be linked to, but that density has been accompanied by an across the board improvement the differential in micron between primary and secondary fiber, and an excellent SD in each fiber population. Likewise the progeny histograms support the improvement in fineness, and uniformity. Blaze has been a powerful influence in our breeding program. Her sire, Legacy Gold, sold for $500K at the Snowmass 2006 auction. Small wonder. He is sire to the incomparable Snowmass Invincible. Her dam is also dam to Snowmass Nova, Snowmass Drambuie's Braveheart and Snowmass Magic Midnight. Now there's a genetic power house. Her 2007 cria, Snowmass Midnight Sun now stood on our herdsire row after winning multilpe championship banners and coming back with not only incredible histograms, but on of the very best follicle density skin biopsy performed by Ian Watt at alpaca consulting and a glowing review of his fiber breeding potential by Paul Vallely in Australia. Check him out on our website to breed for these incredible genetics. Dreams didn't disappoint us in 2008, bring us RR Rose Encatada, out of our own Guns n Roses. She is the "cream of the crop" and is an outstanding brown female. Encatada has already taken her first championship banner at age 8 months. She also has been one of our best producers and mom to RR Arturo, now on our herdsire row. He boasts an outstanding show record and some of the best analytics by histograms and skin biopsies that we have seen. And that's not all...Anastasia...only produced 2 of the best we have manufactured; RR Mercutio and the incomparable RR Verona. Small wonder that she is rebred to RR Gun's A'Blazin...we'd be happy with any that he has produced with Golden Dreams...but are hoping for a Legato Grigio sequal. This is one dam that we wish that we could keep, but at our size we have to be satisfied that her genetics dominate our herd and she still has years of production to invigorate another program. She is very special.

Currently breeding in WA state... Legato Grigio is the assimilation of the 2 most important lines that we wanted to bring to our grey breeding program. He comes by his elite fleece not unexpectedly. Dad is RR Gun's A'Blazin' who has now shown by both histograms, and follicle skin testing that he is consistantly producing fineness, density and uniformity and was a 15 time banner winner. Mom, Snowmass Golden Dreams, has been one of our best producers. We have amassed countless banners from her offspring, among whom is our pre=potent herdsire Snowmass Midnight Sun. LG has demonstrated his pepotency repeatedly in his production. AS we had hoped, he is able to transmit solid grey as a dominant, in many shades. His progeny, as tested by histograms and biopsies (to date) attest to his prepotency...take a minute to check the stats on his offspring. There is but one to date that is not still in our herd...we have retained them all. His non grey production has championed in solid colors, fawn and black in particular. His pattern appears to be a spotting, not tuxedo , pattern and we have used him on solid colors with excellent success. We have not bred him to tuxedo patterns. He has not produced any blue eyed whites. BREEDINGS : $500 due at time of auction win. Balance due prior to breeding/upon arrival to farm. Females must receive I erecting within 14 days of arrival as well as a clear fecal. Breeding fee includes 60 days agistment and confirmation ultrasound. Transport to and from farm as well as CVIs are financial responsibility of female owner. For summer, 2018 we are offering Legato Grigio for either 3 month or 6 month lease at $1000 per breeding. Minimum is $5000 for 3 month, $7000 for 6 months.
