When judge Jude Anderson awarded Starbuck the Purple Banner at PAOBA, she said that he was her pick the moment he set foot in the ring. Against tremendous competition in Columbus in the Bred and Owned Yearling Male category, Starbuck finished fourth of nineteen entries, just behind three other Color Champions - all lighter in color. And at MAPACA '06, a team of four judges awarded Starbuck first place in the Dark Bred and Owned Yearling Male category over 14 entries from top breeders around the country. Starbuck has a wonderful disposition, broad chest and strong legs. You can find every color in his pedigree including grey and black, and you may notice the strong Accoyo contribution from his dam's side. Starbuck's crias are following in his footsteps, garnering blue ribbons and even a Reserve Champion banner! All of these stylish offspring are very crimpy, dense and showcase an array of colors from beige to dark brown to black and grey! His latest edition is a handsome dark brown boy from a fawn dam. Layla is a constant producer of great offspring and was our first foundation female that we acquired.
