Wellington represent the epitome of the direction and the goals of our own North American alpaca industry. He was produced on this continent by a selective breeding between the record-breaking, high-selling alpaca, Accoyo Augusto, mated to a Peruvian dam who exhibits excellence in both fleece and conformation. Believed to be the best offspring of Accoyo Augusto, this documented, domestic-born herdsire truly represents another "step up the ladder". Understandably, when we purchased him, he was the highest-selling domestic-born alpaca of all time.

Mountain Sky Ranch is proud to present Snowmass Matrix Belvedere. Belvedere is a gorgeous beige male with incredible fleece. His fiber is ultra fine and crimp covers his body from head to toe. His mean curvature measures an outstanding 67.2% with only 0.4% of his fibers greater than 30 microns. Equally impressive, his histogram from 2016 is almost identical to his 2010 numbers. His sire is Snowmass Matrix, the highest selling alpaca at auction and producer of many winning progeny. His dam, Snowmass Bright Stars, is a multiple Produce of Dam winner who is consistently producing show winning cria. UPDATE: Snowmass Matrix Belvedere does it again, winning Judge's Choice at the 2016 CABA Fleece show. He also brought home the Spirit of the Industry award at both GWAS and CABA in 2016. Be watching for his amazing cria at the 2017 shows. Belvedere is awarded the Judge's Choice at the 2014 AOA National & World Fleece Show! This boy's fleece just keeps getting better and better. Belvedere also won the Light Halter Color Championship AND the Light Fleece Reserve Color Championship at the 2013 AOBA National Show. Belvedere began his show career with a second place finish in a very competitive class at the 2010 GWAS at only 7 months of age. As he has aged, he is consistently winning in the show ring with multiple show championships to his name, including the 2011 GWAS Color Champion as a yearling. Belvedere has several crias on the ground now and they are everything we could hope for. They are producing fleeces that are fine and bright. Many of them are colored. Several have already won banners of their own. We are excited about the future for this proven herd sire. Rave reviews of his offspring's fleeces at the 2018 Commercial Sort - brightest fleeces seen with exceptional fineness! For more info visit SnowmassMatrixBelvedere.com

Description

Beautiful, crimpy, fawn fleece with density, Rose Chablis seems to have gleaned the finest characteristics from both parents. Her light fawn fleece is darkening to medium fawn and her black points and large, black almond shaped eyes show the promise of colored offspring. Her sire, Wellington is believed to be the best offspring of Accoyo Augusto and his fleece and conformation represent this acclaim. Rose Chablis has everything we look for in a huacaya with uniform crimp that glistens in the sunlight and good conformation.
