Description
Only two alpacas left in our Retirement Herd Disbursal Sale! Only $500 down on Alamar and you can start breeding some great genetics into your herd. Alamar has great EPDs and used to develop great phenotypes and long staple lengths and dense heavy fleece weights in our award winning herd. Then pay $500 per breeding or a minimum of $2500 per year for two years, whichever is more until he is paid off. You will need to fully insure him for his outstanding balance each year.
Admiral's Alamar is Full Peruvian and 3/4 Accoyo with all white genetics back 3 generations when records were kept after importation to the U.S. He is very large with great conformation and elite, extremely bright, medium amplitude crimped fiber from head (full face) to his toes. He has a very beautiful typey Accoyo head. His grandsires are PPeruvian Caligula and NWA Ltd. Accoyo Luxor. His great-grandsire is Peruvian Hemingway.
At his first large show he received a first place ribbon in halter beating a large impressive class of juveniles. He continued to place each show entered. We have one of his males, Antoine, as a working herd sire and one of his females, Eleonora, as a foundation female at Columbia Mist Alpacas.
Alamar has great stats as of his 11th shearing. He is in the top 2% for heavy fleece weight and 4% for staple length, top 12% for %>30M and 14%for spin fineness, and top 19% for fineness (low micron). He is ranked #433 for Fleece Weight and # 959 for Staple Length out of 22,959 males! He has a very high accuracy % for all of his traits. If you are looking for a male to breed to a female who needs to improve in these areas for an outstanding offspring, consider purchasing Alamar!

Whether you are interested in purchasing high quality alpacas for breeding, show, fiber or selecting a herd sire to breed to, you should use Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) as your most important selection tool in addition to evaluating phenotype and genetics. Our herd has some of the highest EPD accuracy ratings due to us breeding some of the best genetics and due to the shear number of these genetics.
