El Nino's Elberto is a pre-potent elite alpaca who is the complete package - outstanding confirmation, presence, great genetics and dense fiber. He maintained a stunning histogram though his 5th shearing and still at his old age is in the Top 6 out of 9 EPDs and even as a dark fawn! His grandsires are PPeruvian Caligula and PCA Peruvian Microsoft with his great-grand sire being PPeruvian Camilio. His Sire, PCA El Nino, had a remarkable Secondary/ Primary fiber ratio of 12.5 and a Follicular Density of 89.2 follicles per square millimeter of skin. We believe that Elberto is one the the highest quality offspring of El Nino. He has won a ribbon in every show that he has entered! Elberto has sired outstanding crias beginning in the summer of 07. Since then he has put his stamp on the majority of his offspring who have won numerous ribbons at the largest AOBA shows and top EPDs. We have one working stud and 5 foundation females in our herd that are his offsping. A 2009 fleece sort revealed 88 oz of WL 2 & 3 in his blanket and 41 oz of WL 1 & 2 in his neck ( nice neck density). His brightness is 9 out of 10 from cut end to tip, 9 out of 10 for density, 9 out of 10 for consistent uniformity of crimp from cut end to tip, medium amplitude and frequency crimp of 5-7 per inch. Excellent fleece weights include 42 oz on lower legs. Staple length 3.5 to 4.0 inches. Sorter commented "beautiful secondary/primary fiber alignment and nice fleece weight."
