Capitan Rosado, a classic rose-grey Full Chilean, has won numerous awards through his career including a CABA Color Championship. He has incredible presence as a compact, heavy boned male with noticeably erect proud posture and conformation. He has very dense fiber coverage as well. His crias inherit his attitude and prancing walk. He sired both a 2001 AOBA Color Champion- CAA Duncan,who stands stud at our farm, as well as A Reserve Color Champion the same year. Since then he had not been utilized much by two small farms. A son did place 2nd in the Bay Black class at the 2005 AWE show. We were fortunate to be able to purchase him as the two farms retired from the Alpaca business in 2005. We offer him for a special re-introductory breeding and have bred him on our farm which resulted in an outstanding 2006 elite female - Rosado’s Syrah ( 18.7 M 3.5 SD 18.7 CV 91.9 CF ). Syrah is a large girl with excellent confirmation and great fiber coverage both in density and holding her character of fiber from skin to tip. She has an outstanding disposition and is a great mother. Her grand sire on her mother's side is PCA Miscosoft and great-grand sire is Pperuvian Camilio. Her sire's grand sire was SA Karrington. Her 2011 fiber sort indicated a 8 out of 10 for brightness, 8 out of 10 for density and 9 out of 10 for uniformity of crimp with 9-10 per inch.
