C & S Radiance

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 821180DOB: 5/28/200024 yrs
This large girl is Full Peruvian and 1/4 Accoyo. She is a rarity in the U.S. since her grand sire PPperuvian Auzengate was sold to breeders in Australia over 15 years ago. He went on to sire over 1,000 offspring, some of which had dual registration in the U.S. About 15+ female daughters have been imported back to the U.S. in 2011. We were fortunate to be able to purchase a half interest in Radiance in 2010. Radiance's 2011 fiber sort showed 27.6 oz of WL 2 (Baby Grade) & 3 in her blanket and 10.9 of the same in her neck. She had a 7 out of 10 brightness, 6.5 out of 10 density and a 7 out of 10 uniformity of crimp with low amplitude and high frequency of 9-10 per inch. Sorter commented- " nice handle, nice loft." Staple length 2-3 inches. Radiance comes with our lifetime 50% 0ff listed breeding fees of our award winning herd sires as long as she is owned by the original purchaser! Whether you are interested in purchasing high quality alpacas for breeding, show, fiber or selecting a herd sire to breed to, you should use Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) as an additional selection tool to make a wise decision. You can increase the probability of creating ideal offspring with up to 95% accuracy. Contact us to learn more about using EPDs. We have been using them to improve our herd since 08'. Columbia Mist El Nino's Elberto

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 1184013DOB: 8/10/200420 yrs
El Nino's Elberto is a pre-potent elite alpaca who is the complete package - outstanding confirmation, presence, great genetics and dense fiber. He maintained a stunning histogram though his 5th shearing and still at his old age is in the Top 6 out of 9 EPDs and even as a dark fawn! His grandsires are PPeruvian Caligula and PCA Peruvian Microsoft with his great-grand sire being PPeruvian Camilio. His Sire, PCA El Nino, had a remarkable Secondary/ Primary fiber ratio of 12.5 and a Follicular Density of 89.2 follicles per square millimeter of skin. We believe that Elberto is one the the highest quality offspring of El Nino. He has won a ribbon in every show that he has entered! Elberto has sired outstanding crias beginning in the summer of 07. Since then he has put his stamp on the majority of his offspring who have won numerous ribbons at the largest AOBA shows and top EPDs. We have one working stud and 5 foundation females in our herd that are his offsping. A 2009 fleece sort revealed 88 oz of WL 2 & 3 in his blanket and 41 oz of WL 1 & 2 in his neck ( nice neck density). His brightness is 9 out of 10 from cut end to tip, 9 out of 10 for density, 9 out of 10 for consistent uniformity of crimp from cut end to tip, medium amplitude and frequency crimp of 5-7 per inch. Excellent fleece weights include 42 oz on lower legs. Staple length 3.5 to 4.0 inches. Sorter commented "beautiful secondary/primary fiber alignment and nice fleece weight."
