Accoyo Victor's son, Da Vinci is a beautiful full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo, light fawn, Proven Herdsire of Champions! As far as we know, out of 18 offspring, their winnings include 19 Championships & 50 First Places!!! Da Vinci has an incredibly uniform fleece, excellent coverage, density and character, high amplitude, great lock formation and bundling. The last several years, his total fleece weight has been 14 to 14 1/2 pounds! He is of medium build, large boned with a dramatic Accoyo head and a very regal presence. He is a very well mannered herdsire, easy to handle and is extremely trustworthy when establishing the readiness of a female to breed. Da Vinci is a gentleman with the girls and almost always accomplishes a pregnancy with the first breeding. Da Vinci is consistantly producing an outstanding group of offspring, who are winning top honors. His progeny have inherited his well defined crimp, excellent coverage, density and staple length. They are exhibiting his erect conformation, beautiful Accoyo head, dark skin pigment and mild disposition. Da Vinci is allowing the color of the dam to come thru, including true black and dark brown and in some cases producing fawn when bred to white females! We are beginning to see his light colored daughters produce medium to dark colored offspring, when bred to colored males. Several of Da Vinci's notable offspring include: 4x Color Champion - AJ's Peruvian Valentino 3x Color Champion & 9 Blue Ribbons - Isabella 2x Color Champion & 2 Blue Ribbons - Rock n Roll 1x Color Champion & Blue Ribbon - Maduro Res.Color Champion & 3 Blue Ribbons - Celeste Res.Color Champion & 2 Blue Ribbons - WCR Benelli Res.Color Champion & Blue Ribbon - Gigi 5x Blue Ribbon Winner - AJ's Chianti 2x Blue Ribbon Winner - AJ's Peruvian Delight Peruvian Da Vinci is owned by Alpaca Alliance and he is currently standing stud at Walnut Creek Alpacas!

Description

Chianti has been quietly working for a small farm here in Oregon, who is now retiring their herd. We purchased Chianti as a youngster. We trained him, and showed him very successfully. We had two brown boys, and our other male, Gatsby, was always second to Chianti when ever they were in the ring. :-) He has a wonderful fleece courtesy of his Victor bloodlines. Our main goal is to find a good home for Chianti. All of his marketing pics, ribbons, and fiber samples come with him. If you need to add new genetics into your breeding program and are looking for color with added density, character, staple length, and overall consistency, this guy has a lot going for him! Chianti is a beautiful medium brown male sired by Peruvian Da Vinci, a full Peruvian Accoyo Victor son. PUT THIS MALE TO WORK IN YOUR HERD. DaVinci is known for the color he produced, and Chianti followed suit. His first offspring was a true black female out of a black and white pinto. 2007 kids were: MB female from MF, DB female from DB, BB male from white, DSG from MSG LF female from white, TB female out of MB. He is throwing deep rich color darker than the dams including black and very bright fleeces. His latest cria in 2009 were brown and fawn. In addition, his dam is Elizabeth Arden who has the enviable record of producing eight cria in multiple colors including rose grey, medium brown, dark fawn, and true black most of which were first and second place winners at national and regional AOBA shows. She provides the depth of color to Chianti's genetics. Add to this stellar pedigree Chianti's first year histogram of 19.0/ 4.2/ 22.1 with an long staple, overall consistency, and high frequency crimp making him an attractive choice. His 2nd Year SD/CV were 4.0/16.3! Judges agreed with our initial assessments of Chianti's breeding potential. His successful show results combined with his enviable pedigree make him valuable for producing quality colored fleeces. He has strong, balanced conformation with a beautiful fleece showing great density, crimpy character, wonderful consistency, and excellent staple length. Still impressive he won 1st at MAPACA Spin-Off at 4 yrs old. If you want deep color in bright crimpy fleeces, Chianti and his signature Victor bloodline is an obvious choice. A proven breeder with a great show record, he is the perfect male to add to a small breeder focusing on dark fleeces. He has been living at a very small farm, and has not been used to his full potential. He has maintained his fleece quality, is a macho male, but easily handled, halter trained, and an efficient breeder. He is the sole breeding male on this farm, and has always been housed in his own pasture next to his girls, so would make a wonderful stud for another small breeder wanting to upgrade fleece qualities, and infuse Victor genetics in color into your herd. He has over 12 offspring to his credit, although his host farm doesn't register males, so four aren't registered.
