Rio is included in our herd package! Rio is a son of Rewind, of the renowned Tillman Suri herd. Rewind “is demonstrably the brightest white suri in America” according to Andy Tillman in his Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) research. Rio’s 3.5 year histogram showed 22.1AFD, 4.2SD, and 18.8 CV! Rio had an excellent show career earning Reserve Champion in 2009 as a Juvenile. We're very impressed with the fact that he again won a Reserve Champion banner as a 3-1/2 year old in his third fleece! Rio’s offspring have been equally impressive collecting a total of 2 Color Championships, 4 Reserve Color Championships, 13 - 1sts, 11 - 2nds, and 3 - 3rd s! All in White or Light classes where they were usually competing against each other in the highly competitive white classes! 2015 AOA Fleece Show results included a FIRST PLACE GET OF SIRE for Rio Grande!! This most important class rewards the Herd Sire which shows the most consistent positive fleece traits across three offspring fleeces, proving that Rio is capable of imprinting his offspring with his exceptional fleece traits regardless of the dam's fleece styles. This improvement in offspring over dam qualities is exactly what we had hoped for when we purchased Rio! Rio’s offspring also earned him two 1st place Get of Sire awards in halter classes at Carolina and Paoba, with a 2nd place at Mapaca! We couldn’t be happier with the job Rio has done improving our next generation! With his little used bloodlines, he will make a great herdsire for a breeder looking to infuse new genetics into their herd!

Description

Gavelita is one of our first foundation females and she has provided us with 11 beautiful crias. She is the perfect of example of BOLIVIAN production! When bred to color, Gavelita has always produced dark or fancy crias. Her crias routinely have very high IgG's and gain weight quickly and consistantly. Gavelita's 2000 cria Bee-Bee(DB & W), was a high selling female at the Breeder's Choice auction and her 2002 cria Bailey (solid TB) sold for $46,000 at the 2003 AOBA National Auction. Gavelita has perfect upright conformation which she passes to all of her offspring, along with a high luster, nice uniformly locked fleece. At 21 years old, Gavelita has earned her retirement on our farm!
