2010 MAPACA Jr HERDSIRE of the YEAR Sheer Galaxy is the most advanced fleece on our farm. It is considerably dense, consistent, and has brightness like no other. It is so lustrous it can just about reflect moon beams! Additionally, his frame is idea - nice and square with large bone and a very correct jaw set. Sheer Galaxy has enjoyed a terrific start in the show ring and has won acclaim from some of our industries best judges. Canadar's Royal Highness is the daugher of Peruvian Canadar, the proven son of the world famous Hemingway who imprinted his trademark for fineness on his prodigal son. Canadar’s fleece measured 17.6 microns in 1997 and at eight years of age remained under 21 microns at 20.18 in 2009! But Canadar’s claim to fame will be his progeny who are fine, bright examples of huacaya excellence with their high style, crimpy fleece. His combination of great phenotype, superior genetics, and shocking fleece statistics will undoubtedly carry on his sire’s legacy. Highness was one of the first females that we bought. The time has come to downsize our herd to a small group of breeding females and select herdsires. Highness has been a good female for us as we grew our foundation herd, but we feel she would be best suited for a start up farm looking to grow with quality offspring.
