Description
Laredo is extremely correct conformationally with a compact frame, heavy bone (can we say, tree-trunk legs?), and straight. He has a great presence and "look at me" attitude, but is extremely easy to handle. (We use him for behavior testing our girls - not at all pushy). Laredo has almost no white or gray fibers - unusual for a black. At one year, his fleece was 21.0 - very nice for TB! Extremely dense.
Laredo has produced two girls, both of which are square statured and on the shorter side. Laredo has added density to both dams.
He is very easy to catch and handle - shots, toes, no problem. Leads great. Not pushy or aggresive with the other boys or with people. Would make a great pet or 4-H animal (he wouldn't be "a project" - maybe great for performance?).
Full disclosure: Laredo does walk with a limp due to a previous injury.
