Ankara is a medium rose gray from Magical Farms with Silvino bloodlines. She has extremely fine fleece with 2 year old fleece histogram at 18.0 microns/4.5 SD/24.4cv/2%>30 and a 5 year old histogram at 19.3 microns/5.1 SD/25.9cv/4%>30. How many animals can claim that level of fineness at her age with 3 pregnancies? She also has a rare combination of imported rose grey genetics from both her dam's (Chilean) side and her sire's (Peruvian) side. She has produced grey FOUR times in a row, even when bred to fawn, and is an excellent mother and easy birther with lots of milk for her cria. She has never taken more than a single breeding and is our easiest mother. we aren't using her in our program anymore. you might want to!

Description

Beautiful medium rose grey female with excellent conformation. Her dam, Ankara, is an exceptionally fine-fleeced grey with 19.3 microns at 5 years of age and multiple pregnancies. Her sire is the champion fawn herdsire, Emerald Farm's Salvador Cloud, who is a half brother to the famous Orlando Cloud. Half of Salvador's genetics come from the Cloud line, which produced both Rincon and Orlando Cloud, two famous multi-champion greys whose offspring have done extremely well on the show circuit. The other half come from Greg Mecklam's Accoyo America program, which has dominated top prizes in whites and fawns along with Snowmass. Salvador has amazing crimp, density and fleece architecture, and combined with Ankara's fineness, Shelley should have excellent fleece characteristics to pass on to her offspring. Since Shelley's dam is an excellent breeder, conceiving in one breeding and birthing easily, we expect her to offer the same. Shelley just delivered her first cria on 5/18/15, he is a dark brown color. Bred and due end of May 2017
