Look at the result of breeding our best fleece production foundation female to our densest and heaviest fleece producing herdsire. Faeteza's feece is dense and bundled...check out the picture on the right.
What you are looking at is a complete package...great genetics, solid conformation, pleasing phenotype, excellent proportions and balance, desirable fleece architecture and structure, density, bundling, and excellent staple length. If it sounds like this girl has it all she does...plus an excellent temperament.
We had great expectations Faeteza (AKA Teza) would contribute the same qualties to our breeding program as her dam Paradise Ridge Chaccuna. And did she ever...easy breeder, easy birth, plenty of milk.
Faeteza has produced two outstanding cria for us. Both exhibiting exceptional density and fineness. When bred to a herdsire with lingering fineness the results have been fine and uniform fleece.
LINGERING FINENESS COMING FROM HER DAM AND EXHIBITED IN HER HALF BROTHERS Following is the description of her dam's measurable fleece qualities...the potential is there.
MEASURABLE FLEECE QUALITIES: This is where Chaccuna (Teza's dam) excels and what keeps her at the top of our Huacaya foundation female list. Talk about lingering fineness. At 12 years old her histogram results are note worthy: AFD 25.8, SD 4.9, CV 18.8 , SF 24.7, %>30 15. At 12 years old her EPD results show it is predicted she will reduce the AFD by -0.0938 And it doesn't stop there. Her daughter Faeteza is shown to reduce AFD by -0.425. Here are the results for Chaccuna's seven year old son beige son (ChaccuLatte) we have standing at our ranch:
2013 EPD Results:
Top 1% %F>30 -8.246 0.453 77 of 14637
