UPDATE: Breeding - Now being offered For Sale! You won't believe your senses when you touch this fiber! The Hemingway line is known for producing lovely soft fiber with excellent hand and fineness. So, when we bred Bethany to Andean Dream we were hoping for a cria that would carry on that tradition of fineness...and Andiamo doesn't disappoint! His bright, pure white fiber melts in your hand. Wow! He has a handsome head, straight conformation, and, of course, that fine, bright, crimpy fiber. Two samplings of his 2005 cria fleece verified that he produced an ultrafine, fabulously soft, fleece. Take a look at his 2005 histograms...AFD = 14.7 on the first sample and 14.4 AFD on the second! The 2007 histogram from his 3rd shearing still shows a fine fleece at 18.5 microns. Not surprisingly, we had planned to retain partial ownership of Andiamo to use these incredible soft, fine fiber genes in our breeding program. However, we think this nice male has something to offer to a larger population than we can provide. Therefore, we have decided to offer him for sale at a price even a small farm will find attractive! If you are interested in a breeding program to produce ultra fine fiber, call us today to discuss taking this guy home as a gift to your girls. SOLD

Bueno Granddaughter!

SMKF Artilio's Priscilla Rose

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 850880DOB: 7/6/200321 yrs
Priscilla is a very pretty, strongly conformed female from the Peruvian Camelot line. We were fortunate enough to get her as a cria from Sleeping Monk Farm in NH with the intention of adding her to our foundation herd. However, we decided to offer Priscilla for sale in order to continue to make available good quality females to our customers. In September, Priscilla gave birth to a very handsome, rich mahogany colored, son of our true black color champion, Lace's Peruvian Black Lance. This spectacular color is unlike anything we have seen in our crias previously. With PrimeTime's birth, Priscilla has continued to produce crias with deep colored fiber as she did with her dark brown 2006 daughter, Avalon's Primrose. We were excited to see what she would produce with our ultra fine herdsire, Andiamo. In 2008, Priscilla gave birth to a handsome light fawn Andiamo son, Avalon's Prado. His fiber is very fine and crimpy and we look forward to his first shearing and regrowth to really see what his dam has given us. We are so excited with the Tri-Star crias this past year that we dediced to breed Priscilla to him. We expect their colorful cria in August. Reduced Spring Special Price...$12,000 with her male cria, Prado
