NDA Lyza
Alpaca, Huacaya, Bred (Female) | Medium Fawn
AOA #833053 | DOB: 9/2/2001 (23 yrs)
Sire: AFA Peruvian Nevar
White, 183444, Full Peruvian
Nevar is a jaunty gentleman. When we lead him to our breeding areas, he reminds us of Fred Astaire stepping out in high hat and tails! He is a nice, typey,1/2 Accoyo male with wonderful fiber coverage. Nevar's fiber is soft, crimpy, dense, and lustrous. And, as if this wasn't already enough, Nevar offers genetics not readily available in the USA.
When bred to colored females, he often has produced beautiful colored crias with his lustrous, fine fiber and exceptional coverage. His crias have very attractive heads with abundant face fiber...real attention getters! The fine fiber they have inherited from their sire is exceptional and shows the locky, crimpy character we love to see. Nevar's offspring are beginning to prove their excellence in the showring---multiple blue ribbons and just look how they have represented Nevar in Get-of-Sire!!!. Look for them in the show ring in 2004.

Service Sire: Peruvian Lancaster
Description
We now know what Lyza can produce and the results are spectacular! Lyza is a lovely 3/4 Peruvian, granddaughter of Peruvian Chocolateer on her dam’s side and Accoyo Peruvian Cordero on her sire’s side. Her dense, crimpy fiber covers her from nose to toes on a straight, well conformed frame. Nicely balanced, Lyza presents a pleasant picture of the "typey" alpaca.
In August, Lyza gave birth to her first cria, Avalon's Ghost Ryder, a beige son of Hobby Horse Farm’s multiple color champion, CPeruvian Winchester. Ryder was born without assistance and Lyza proved to be an attentive mom with ample milk. What more could we ask for from a first timer?!
And what a cria he is! This guy is UNBELIEVABLE! Ryder is possibly the densest cria we have ever seen, and certainly the densest ever born on our farm. His bright, locky, bundled fiber is extraordinary. As if that wasn't enough, he's also very handsome, with the correct, typey conformation and balance that we want to see in a future herdsire. We would be happy to keep this fellow right here on our farm to add to our breeding program when he matures! [UPDATE: Avalon's Ghost Ryder just returned home from his first show at the MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show (Lake St. Louis, MO)where he took a FIRST in a White Male Juvenile class of 11 under Judge Maggie Krieger.]
Looking to produce another outstanding cria, we have bred Lyza to AlpacaStock's Peruvian Lancaster, another multiple color champion, for a spectacular 2005 cria. Wow! This cria should be another winner!
