We believe that ACCOYO AMERICA ZION may be the ONLY full accoyo CALIGULA son in the WEST! We have just been informed by AOA that Zion is NUMBER 1 for density in the EPD program, TOP 5 for the SEVENTH Year in a row! and will be highlighted again at the 2018 AOBA National Show. And All of his female offspring we own tested have EPD's for fleece weight in the top 1%!
A stunning combination of his sire CALIGULA & VENGADOR(Don Julio Barreda's coveted Sher Kahn line) ZION is half brother to deceased EL NINO. Caligula was one of the most influential males imported from Peru & has had a great impact on the alpaca industry. Caligula's offspring & in turn their offspring have produced champions in the showring with the densest of fleeces which also incorporate fineness, a combination so hard to achieve, in both white & color.
Zion's dam VENGADOR'S ACCOYO NIRVANA has consistently been a top producer for Pacific Crest Alpacas. We know that the Vengador & Caligula lines have been a winning combination & in Zion we have both the outstanding phenotype backed up by proven genetics.
ZION has an elite fleece with tiny bundles that must be felt to be fully appreciated. He is incredibly dense but does not sacrifice fineness as his AFD & CV have remained low for a breeding accoyo male. His high frequency high amplitude crimp style & long staple length is consistent over the blanket, neck, legs & rump without noticeable medullation. And his softness begs you to bury your hands deep into his fleece! He is compact with a medium well balanced build & perfect conformation with all the regal presence you would expect him to display-and the gentleness that makes him a dream to handle.
Zion's offspring have been spectacular including Color Champions and ribbon winners in white and solid colors. He has produced Rosegrey from Black!
ZION is still breeding but due to arthritis we have decided to retire him. We still have alpacas for sale that have him in their pedigree.
7/31/2018 We are sad to announce that Zion passed away today, leaving a hole in our herd and our hearts. Thank you Zion for your immense contribution to our herd and for being such a pleasant soul.

"ANNAPURNA is one of our best Full Peruvian, half Accoyo females. At 6 years old her fleece maintains its fineness and character of high frequency, high amplitude crimp.
Annapurna's first cria was an exquisite female by Haldane, a full Alianza Hemingway son. Hannah's first fleece had an AFD of 13.2-Yocum-McColl's tested it twice because they emailed "We don't see many alpaca fleeces this fine." Hannah's fleece is so bright, with Hemingway style crimp of 8 per inch.
Annapurna delivered her 2006 cria by Accoyo America Zion. At 21.5 pounds, ZION'S PERUVIAN ALEXZANDER is 3/4 accoyo with correct conformation, solid bone structure and holds himself very upright with great presence. Color Genetics: Pedigree (white) Progeny (None to date). We suspect a color gene from eye and nail coloring.
Pheonotype: Very bold and commanding presence. Excellent coverage. Great show presence.

NIRVANA is the dam of multi champions Accoyo America Mahatma, Samadhi, and Apocalypse.
Alex's dam is ANNAPURNA the daughter of ACCOYO SNOWMASTER (sire of IncaAccoyo Star, Messiah, Hallmark, DeBeers, Royal Extreme, & numerous champion Snowmass production females) and granddaughter of ACCOYO LILLY (dam of Dupioni, Bullet Proof, Sacred Heart and Quechua Everlasting) and ALIANZA DON JULIO (sire of Jean & Wedding Pacabells). Alexzander's fleece is bright, silky soft, with tiny bundles, a long staple, and high amplitude crimp. He is already so dense you can barely get to his skin. He has thick strong straight legs and the full fleeced short muzzle.
Alex is a VERY efficient breeder and is an excellent choice for drive-by breedings.
