Midnight Rider

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 827739DOB: 5/17/200123 yrs
An extraordinary Herd Sire in luxurious True Black is now available for breeders looking for the best in the dark colors. Midnight Rider is incredibly dense with uniform crimp and loads of brightness. He placed above a number of whites in the Bred & Owned class because of his extraordinary fiber characteristics. His fleece was shown at Nationals where he took 2nd place by only one point to the Champion black fleece. This Peruvian boy with Accoyo backing him, is now breeding and ready for your girls. Come see for yourself what the judges are raving about. Midnight only has a couple cria on the ground, which makes the show results of his first offspring even more impressive. Two were old enough to go to the show, and both walked away winners. Shazaam! placed 2nd behind Patagonia at the Level V 2006 Buckeye show and Shiner (a fawn out of two blacks - competing against fawns) placed third. Update - his 2007 cria, Benchmark's Peruvian Sweet Alabama - a Dark Rose Gray -is now old enough to show and she is commanding attention! Here is her record: COLOR CHAMPION - OABA Alpacafest 2008! COLOR CHAMPION - Empire Extravaganza 2008! COLOR CHAMPION - at the Largest Show ever held - MAPCA 2008! COLOR CHAMPION - Level V - Indiana Show - April 2008 out of 14 Alabama had to compete against Indefinite Lights and Multis in the Championship Round. 1st Place Halter - AOBA National Show, Utah 2008 - we were one animal shy of Champion Class 1st Place Halter - MAPACA 2008 1st Place Halter - Indiana Invitational Fort Wayne, IN April 2008 1st Place Halter NJ Show, December 2007 1st Place Breeder's Best 3 - NJ 2007 1st Place Breeder's Best 3 - MIAF 2008 1st Place Halter - Heartland Invitational 2008 1st Place Halter - Empire Extravaganza 2008 1st Place Halter - OABA Alpacafest 2008 See Bama on her own page. 1/2 Ownership at $20,000.

My Tia! My very first alpaca and foundation female. She and her first cria, Theo, were the models for the farm logo. With awesome conformation, good bite, and beautiful head, Tia consistently throws cria born with fleece like Ramen noodles! She is a very good mother with good milk, producing consistently high IgG's. She is the queen of the barn! As you can see in the photo, she calmly takes her summer cooldown bath while the others patiently await their turn. She has a very sweet disposition and is calm and easy to handle in any situation.

Description

Theo is a beautiful dark fawn boy with a rose grey face and patch on his side, likely from his grandfather Peruvian Nike who was light rose grey. His conformation is solid and he fits perfectly into the "box". Fiber characteristics include high frequency uniform crimp and lush soft handle. He is one of my softest adult animals to touch, even at the age of 6. Theo has a handsome typey head and good bite. He has a very sweet disposition and was shown in performance classes fully grown by my daughter when she was only 6 years old. To see video of Theo, just visit our website at EmeraldAlpacas.com to see Theo in action. Mobile breedings are available. Theo sells with free delivery within a 12 hour drive of our farm, and of course, lifelong support to you from our farm.
