We are offering Tapestry and her FEMALE cria at side at the Priority Alpaca Auction in Las Vegas on Sat, January 22, 2011. more info on this 3-in-1 package! Tapestry was one of the most impressive bred females there was at the 2007 Eastern Extreme Auction and we bought her! Tapestry has been a success both in the show ring and as a breeding female producing beautiful, high end cria. Her powerful genetics are nothing less than extraordinary as both sides of her pedigree reads like a Who’s Who’s of Huacayas; Rensselaer, Vengador, White Lightning and Azul Celeste. Tapestry’s physical traits exemplify her superior genetics. “Extreme density,” “consistent crimp and beautiful brightness throughout this female’s fleece,” “great size and substance of bone,” “beautiful head and full topknot,” are some of the comments made by the judges who have recognized Tapestry’s excellence in the show ring. Tapestry has already proven that she can pass on great attributes to her offspring. Her first cria, Queena, is a white female who was successful in the show ring. Queena’s white fleece is simply stunning and her conformation is perfect. Tapestry’s second cria is a medium brown son sired by Black Icecapade. Her 2008 cria is a very fine male out of Avatar's IronMan. Tap's 2009 female cria carries the qualities of Tapestry and our Peruvian Lancaster. In 2010 Tap had another female cria with our 5x blue and banner winning Ascent. This very nice female cria is offered with Tapestry and her Ascent cria on board for an awesome 3-in-1 package. Check out Ascent's fiber stats to see what a great compliment he is for Tapestry. more info on this 3-in-1 package!

Description

Cloudsplitter is a dark fawn with very fine, bright and pleasant handling fleece that is oh so soft. CS carries strong grey genetics and has a large grey spot around his neck. He is out of Avatar’s Ironman, an All-American Alpaca Futurity Reserve Color Champion. Ironman is an exceptional medium rose-grey male with flawless conformation, a stunningly fine fleece and captivating presence. Cloudsplitter’s dam, Tapestry, is an AOBA Nationals award winner with super density, crimp, brightness, bone and an outstanding pedigree. Tap has a rose grey blanket with grey in her background and has grey down the back of her head and neck. Cloudsplitter took a fourth at the highly competitive MAPACA Jubilee in the spring of 2009. CS won a 6th place ribbon at the Empire show in 2009. Judge Amanda VandenBosch said "This male exhibits a strong, well proportioned frame that carries a silky, long-stapled fleece of consistent character and color. His fleece shines. Less density than the males standing above him, but definitely a line-up of six males you should all be proud of.' He was also awarded a 6th place ribbon at the VT show in the fall of 2009. The judge commented: strong framed yearling with an appreciable staple of brilliantly bright, healthy fleece. Good testicular development on a male with good capacity in the chest and fleece that is fine and consistent. Cloudsplitter is proudly co-owned with High Peaks Alpacas and will be ready to breed now. We're offering 1/2 interest in Cloudsplitter for only $4,000 and full interest for just $6,000. We're a very small farm physically and we really need the space so we're offering this very nice male with tons of potential for a very low price to move him fast.
