Dixie is a proven female with good mothering instincts and plenty of milk. She was bred in May '09 to Mada Vemi's Amerikhan Legend but the vet ultrasounded her not pregnant. In this case the vet was incorrect and Dixie produced a dark fawn male, Tribute, as proof. Dixie is an excellent proven mother with a track record of good milk production and great mothering instincts for her cria. She is one of the few alpacas that I've seen actually lick their newborn cria. We held Dixie open, along with most of our other girls, until this fall for breeding.
