Principio is a handsome male who has a gorgeous fleece, a beautiful head, great coverage, density and is phenotypically correct. And don’t take our word for it, the judges agreed since he was an 8 time undefeated halter champion. But it doesn’t stop there, as we all know a herdsire is judged by his offspring and Principio has impressed in this aspect as well. The first five crias of his which we entered in the show ring all won either blues or championships. Now that’s a producer. Principio has quickly established himself as one of our best fleece producers (and that’s saying something)
Principio is going to be a great producer for us for years to come.

Description
My first introduction to Dream Maker was through her daughter, Emilia. I saw Emilia at NAAS and fell in love with her. She embodied absolutely everything I look for in alpacas: breed type, conformation, fleece -- all of it.
Fast-forward two years later, and I am thrilled to welcome Emilia's dam, Dream Maker, into our foundation herd. Dream Maker is a daughter of AML El Duro's Principio, a bloodline that I really don't think a herd can get enough of. Principio is an absolute powerhouse of a male, an 8x Champion who is also an ARI EPD trait leader. Most alpaca breeders know how rarely those traits go hand-in-hand, and the combination thereof is demonstrative of both Principio's incredible quality and his prepotency. It's no wonder, either, as he is, in turn, the son of two of the ABSOLUTE most prepotent alpacas to have graced the national herd: AML Legacy's El Duro and Miss Clarice. El Duro had distinguished himself by producing an extremely high proportion of champions (which, like Principio, very often displayed an outstanding combination of impeccable conformation, bone substance, fleece density AND lasting fineness) before his untimely death. Miss Clarice, likewise, produced multiple champions before passing away in 2015.
Dream Maker is the only daughter of her dam, Salvation. Salvation's pedigree consists of an offering of rare, yet excellent bloodlines. Her sire is a son of Peruvian Grand Master, a full Accoyo stud owned by Anthony Stachowski, and out of a daughter of Peruvian Cordero, another uncommon full Accoyo stud. Her dam sire is Snowmass Andean Gem, a very rare son of 4Peruvian Andean Gold (an import sire who died at just three years of age, after siring exactly seven offspring -- among them Snowmass Andean Bronze and Snowmass Andean Gold).
So, Dream has the lineage, clearly, and it shows. She is a beautiful female, with straight legs, good proportions, and nice bone. Her fleece is extremely dense, with a wonderful handle and great character, even at age seven. She is quiet and easily handled.
Best of all, Dream Maker produces. The best kind of introduction to a dam is falling in love with one of her offspring. Based on the quality of her first two offspring, we can't wait to see what Dream Maker can produce on our farm.
