Hidden Hill Peruvian Pundit

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 31238830DOB: 8/14/200816 yrs
One of the best values in stud service around! We never thought we would EVER buy a white male... After all, we're breeding for COLOR. Never say never. When you see Pundit and open his fleece, you will know why we just had to bring this male home to Glacier Rock. Many of you know his 'big brother' - 2009 Futurity Huacaya White Male CHAMPION, Hidden Hill Peruvian Dually. What you may not know is that Pundit is a full brother to Dually. Of course WE think that 'little brother' Pundit is even better than his big brother, but what do YOU think? Come see him and let us know. Thank you, Carol Karsten of Hidden Hill Farm Alpacas, for making it possible for us to own this very special alpaca. Pundit has matured into a handsome stud male. Very 'square' and compact, he weighs about 145 lbs. Pundit has 9 cria on the ground to date. 2 White ,4 brown, 3 fawn. 6 Females, 3 Males.

Black and beautiful - and a daughter of the 'living legend' himself: Snowmass Nova! Enchantment is truly an enchanting female - elegant, with graceful proportions and lovely fiber. We are thrilled to own this outstanding black female, and look forward to 'Maggie's crias each year. Maggie has inherited the wonderful handle and uniform micron that the Nova line is known for, and passes it on. She looks a lot like her handsome sire, too! We are so hoping for a black female.

Description

Mischief is the latest member of our collection -- some may say "hoard" -- of related females. How highly do I think of this bloodline? Well, let's see. I have three half-sisters by the same sire (Mischief's sire, Hidden Hill Peruvian Pundit). I have another two cousins of theirs, sired by their full brother, Futurity Champion and multiple Judge's Choice winner Dually. I have an "aunt," sired by the sire of Dually and Pundit, Caligula's Casanova, plus a distant cousin who is a Casanova granddaughter by another sire. That makes this one of the most well-represented bloodlines in my herd, alongside Snowmass Quechua and 4Peruvian Legacy. Mischief is a superlative example of what her sire produces. She should have been shown, as she would likely have been a champion. Her conformation is impeccable, her proportions balanced. Her body build is square and solid, with excellent substance of bone. She has a beautiful head -- a signature of her sire line -- and total fiber coverage. Her fleece is fine (she has not had a histogram run yet, but it is likely in the range of 20 AFD) and extremely uniform, with beautiful brightness and a high-frequency, high-amplitude crimp style. Mischief's density is fantastic, and, coupled with a very good staple length, this means that she produces a terrific amount of it. It helps that Mischief's dam is an own daughter of the great Snowmass Nova. This is, indeed, one of the major reasons why Mischief was added to our "collection" of Casanova-line girls: although she is a dark fawn, her dam is true black, making her the darkest of our Caz-line girls, and one of the more likely to throw grey when bred to grey. Mischief will be bred to our rose grey son of Legacy's El Duro in the Spring of 2016. I believe that these lines are destined to cross extremely well. It will be a bit of a challenge to pull a grey cria from these two elite light lines, but when that grey cria comes, I'm hoping for a boy.
