1/2 Accoyo
JJA Adonis' Amelia
HuacayaOpen (Female)Bay Black
AOA# 31718547DOB: 6/4/201014 yrs
Amelia should be the perfect package for the black breeding program. I had an inkling that her dam would go all the way with the sires color as she had produced fawn when bred to white with only white in her background. Even if she had been white I knew combining all of the positive traits of Mona's full accoyo background with Adonis' potent qualities would be a treasure. This girl has remarkably fine fiber. I dare say it feels softer than her 1/2 brother through Adonis who had a 17.8 micron TB. Skin line is very thin so the density should be awesome and the long staple is typical of Donnie offspring. Amelia has a great head and super coverage.
Amy has great bone and is super square. What a friendly girl she is too! She was a breeze to halter train. Her dam's relatives have been great producers of milk and breed easily. Both parents have top award winning offspring and Amy can do the same for you. She comes with a complimentary breeding to any of our studs. I would recommend Orofino ,Impeccable or Seismic to bring out the black if you so desire.
We provide total breeders support if you desire. Board is available as well as financing. Our herd is BVDV free and we keep a lid on those parasites with on farm fecal tests. Call to arrange a visit or request fleece samples and more photos.
2014 Update: Amy is now a Mom to a very handsome TB male sired by Seismic. I'll get Sullivan's info up soon.Amy has been a great Mom with plenty of milk. Couldn't breed her back due to lack of space :( It is killing me knowing what great babies she can throw! I'd love to put her with Impeccable now as he throws the color the majority of the time and his cria have been absolutely stunning! Amy has retained incredible fineness through her last pregnancy with fantastic character as well.
2016: Amy birthed a 3/4 accoyo medium brown female with Impeccable as the sire. Cricket is the name of that girl and you have got to see the fiber photo! Impeccable never lets us down. Cricket placed 2nd in most of her shows!
2018: Amy was bred to our incredibly dense, handsome, multi-blue ribbon winning male Smokey Joe before we sold him. They made the most adorable FAWN boy together. That color came from his grandparents crossing their white and black genes. Color here doesn't matter because the fleece is amazing! Jordy is amazingly compact like his sire and his grand dam Jana but on big bone. If you look at him you'd think she weighed 10 lbs but at just 2 weeks he is 20 pounds from a start of 13.5.
Update, Amy lost her last two pregnancies so we are figuring things out. I'm so disappointed not to be expecting one of her fabulous cria. Vet said that Amy's uterus is defined as it should be. No infection just apparently not tone enough to carry a pregnancy. If you can give her a home with milder winters give me a call.
