Balmoral was our “poster girl” in 2010 with her great head and incredible coverage. Her dam is one of our foundation girls who has produced award winning cria each year. Her sire is a multiple banner winning brown male who now stands stud in VA. Balmoral carries consistent crimp from skin to tip with long staple length. Her color genetics include medium brown and bay black with a touch of Accoyo from both the dam and sire. Balmoral is basically unrelated to most of our herdsires, so the breeding possibilities are quite exciting. Her first breeding was to Accoyo Principe Dorato. The combination of her dam's genetics and "Prince" have already produced our Reserve Color Champion foundation female Caledonia. Principe already has over 10 banner winning cria to his name. Diamond Jubilee, the result of this breeding was a blue ribbon winner in her first show. Balmoral was then bred to Casanova's Peruvian Crown Prince to test her rich color background. Crown has been doing an excellent job of producing gray...out of just about any colored background...so we thought this would be an interesting matchup. Both Balmoral and Crown excell in fiber, conformation, and even their calm personalities. Bingo...stunning rose gray male, Crown's Prince Harry, a blue ribbon winner in his first show. Harry was so good, we did it again. This time (2014) Balmoral produced an amazing Silver Gray male cria...Nicer than Harry?...just maybe! We LOVE Balmoral's personality, and now her gray production makes her a serious consideration for any gray breeding program. Balmoral's price includes this herdsire quality silver gray male. Why mess with a good thing...Balmoral is bred back to Crown and just maybe she will have a super Female gray for you! In an effort to facilitate our retirement sale, we are offering truly remarkable prices for packages of 2+ females, and have interest in our breeding males or herdsire quality younger males to include in a package. Our primary goal is to send our alpacas off to reputable breeders to insure their continued production success and health. If you have a need for upper end females, we have the females, the price, and the terms that will make your next one of quality and financial feasibility. Please inquire about package pricing for any of our sale alpacas.

Description

From Highland Alpaca: Harry was a cutie when he was born...full fleeced face, square frame and a beautiful color. He has matured...and boy has he matured!! Already showing that he deserves the title "junior herdsire" with a blue ribbon in a competitive class in Ohio, and a second place finish at MAPACA, where there were more grays shown than whites...he carries absolutely stunning fiber on that wonderful square frame. He is a dream to show, so put him on your show string, rack up the ribbons, and then put him to use to bring fineness, crimp, and density to your gray breeding program. We own Harry's sire and currently don't have any plans to use him, so our loss is your gain.
