AOA #35279952 | DOB: 9/20/2015 (9 yrs)

Sire: GLR Rastamon

Reserve Futurity Herdsire of the Year!

GLR Rastamon

SuriHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 31115674DOB: 8/28/200915 yrs
GLR Rastamon is the densest (Follicle Density 68, micron 20.9) blackest, true black that Brad and Jandy have ever produced on the ranch. His sire is Shavano, is a true black 1/2 Accoyo Black Color Champion. His mother, LCA Jaimica, is a 5Peruvian Silken daughter, one of Snowmass Alpacas very favorite dams, and one of the reasons that they bought Jaimica from Jack and Kelly Armstrong a few years back. This guy is jet black with no tipping, what so ever, and very impressive in conformation and in bone. He stands upright and proud, even as a juvenile and was awarded the Reserve Black Male Color Championship at his first show, at seven months old, at the 2010 AAA Futurity. His first crop of kids produced plenty of Color and Reserve Color Champions and the second crop followed suit. In theory, based on his fiber stats and pedigree, we hoped that he would step up the quality of his offspring to another level from his dad, AAA Futurity 2010 Herd Sire of the Year, Shavano. So far we are more than impressed with his kids and have him bred to more than half of our foundation females for cria in 2014! His offspring in 2015 earned him the title of AAA Futurity Reserve Dark Herd Sire of the Year. GLR Rastamon is closed to outside breedings, however, for the right farm we may consider 1/2 interest.

Dam: Platinum Delilah

Platinum Delilah

SuriOpen (Female)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32268997DOB: 4/25/201212 yrs
Platinum Delilah is one our favorite classic grey foundation females in the herd. Her sire is Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar and her mother is Silver Heat's Graysia, making her a 1/2 Accoyo grey girl with some serious grey genetics and a very fun pedigree. Brad and Jandy bought her at the 2013 Suri Showdown in KY. Her fiber is amazing and the luster...sunglass material. Beautiful greasy fine fleece that earned her the Reserve Grey Suri Network Championship with her third fleece in 2015. Delilah's first cria was born in 2015- a beautiful black Rastamon son, GLR Django, who won Color Championship at his first show, the 2016 ABI! Platinum Delilah is certainly a stunner- She is also a great first time mother and we like this little future herd sire that she has at side. Delilah had a beautiful classic silver grey male by Cinders, Gregarious of Halo! Look out for this boy! Multiple time Color Champion. Delilah birthed a stunning true black female sired by Zoltar summer 2022. Keep an eye out for Delaney in the show ring. ****Stunning female that produces stunning offspring.***** NOT FOR SALE

Description

Can you say genetics? Wow this boy is loaded on both sides! His sire, GLR Rastamon, the 2015 Futurity Reserve Herd Sire of the Year, has produced over 10 banner winners already and continues to knock 'em out of the park! In 2015 alone, he sired the 2015 Grey Suri Network Grey Champion, the Futurity Black Male Champion (as a juvenile), the Futurity Reserve Black Male Champion, the futurity Reserve Black Female Champion, the MAPACA Reserve Grey Male Champion, the MAPACA Black Male Champion, the MAPACA Reserve Black Female Champion, and the 2015 Grey Champion. Django's Dam, Platinum Delilah, is one of only 2 registered grey offspring from the one and only Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar! Delilah is an up and coming great foundation female for us as her 2017 cria, GLR Dean, is shaping up to be quite the looker! Platinum Delilah was never shown before she went into production, but was the 2015 Suri Network Reserve Grey Champion with her third fleece. Django is listed on the Snow Diamond Select Auction - Lot 43! Don't miss it, October 7th, 2017.
