Gorgeous proven male
IAF DRAKE
Alpaca, Suri, Herdsire (Male) | Light Rose Grey
AOA #32845242 | DOB: 6/29/2013 (11 yrs)
Sire: GLR KOLAQUA
32845242<--ari-->Dark Silver Gray<--color-->
Dam: NGG CATARINA
32845242<--ari-->Beige<--color-->NGG Catarina is an incredibly dense and lustrous half Accoyo full Peruvian female. Her dam is 4 Peruvian Cassana, a light fawn female who had a micron count of 18 when imported as a yearling. Her sire is NGG Accoyo Don Cochise by DonQ. NGG Catarina was shown twice in 2004 as a juvenile, at MAPACA (Champion Beige Suri Female) and at AOBA (6th).
Catarina has a history of producing champs year after year. Her 2019 SHIP scores were over the top and she is still producing isolated locks and luster!
Her 2013 breeding with GLR Kolaqua resulted in IAF Drake who has entered our breeding program and his cria is on the ground. The cria is solid and simply amazing. After a brief hiatus, Cat is producing champs yet again for our farm.
The breeding to Pablo for a 2018 cria, has produced a Suri Network Color Champion, IAF Tanner! His fleece is extremely lustrous!

Description
Drake is now proven! Super excited about the delicious female cria he has produced with our Rastamon daughter!
Drake is an iMpressive male who is just getting started into our breeding program. When we first showed Drake he was called a fiber monster because he had so much fiber! I was taken aback by this comment at first but when we sheared him in 2018, I couldn't believe his blanket was 6.5 pounds!
Drake's confirmation is over the top as he is very big boned, and straight on his topline. His head has that suri type head with conformationally correct ears.
We put him our 2018 breeding lineup. He is an eager and get down to business breeder. We are opening him up to outside breedings and offering him for sale as we believe any cria of his will have the potential to be in the gray category. They should be absolutely over the top!
He is in the top 25% for MSL in the EPD program. This explains his huge fiber production!
His fleece was easily processed and for a gray is very, very soft to the touch, exhibits amazing luster for a light rose gray and simply.....iMpressive!
His 2019 blanket is gorgeous and his 2019 cria is uniform in color and NICE. Look for it in the show ring in 2020!
The yarn shown here was made into a few products. The shawl made out of this yarn won Judge's Choice at the 2020 Suri Network Fiber Arts competition!
Update 2020: We are so honored to be recognized internationally by a farm who desired to add Drake to their herd. He will be departing the US in 2021. Thank you for your purchase! We have only one progeny (IAF Quakina) from this amazing male and she is available for sale.
