Sistine is a beautifully well conformed finely fibered white breeding dam. She is out of Snowmass RRoyal Stars whose density is unmatched. She will and can bring years of quality offspring not to mention years of quality fiber. Sistine is listed on the auction for a very low price, don't think that this reflects her quality because it doesn't. We had a beautiful white male out of Sistine in 2020. She has an ideal phenotype for a breeding dam. She has a nice head, perfect bite and conformation that is correct with good bone mass. The reason for her price and sale is because we simply are not planning on using her any longer. We would certainly consider selling her bred with a reasonable increase in sales price. What a thrill it has been for Colusa Riverside Alpaca to integrate Snowmass RR Royal Stars into a number of her offspring that we now are breeding. Sistine's expected prodigy determinations are respectable and for that reason her sale price is even better given she is a proven dam. Here's what Sistine's breeder had to say about her. "Not surprising if you check out dad's follicle skin testing done by Ian Watt. It has shown him to be one of the densest herdsire's in the country, and not only a champion in his own right, but now a producer of champions, even in brown". Sistine has had several offspring for us and she gestates without any problems, is given to birthing easy, and she is a wonderful mother.

Description

Nothing but fiber on this girl, River's Rain. Rain is out of retired amazing macho stud Hemingway's Bogart. Still at 20 afd at age 19 years. This girl was born running, she has had perfect growth and development ever since. She is currently bred to Chateau Cerise. Chateau has impeccable EPDs and should prove to produce a beautiful cria. The price we are asking is certainly not commensurate with her value as a breeding dam. She is simply does not fit in our breeding program at this time. We are now at a point in our genetic program that her genetics simply don't fit in our foundation dam program. But, she would make another ranch who has different breeding goals a great foundation dam in their program. Rain is a 2nd generation out of the Snowmass genetics that we introduced into our breeding program several years ago. This was to insure density in our offspring. Rain is extremely dense and will pass that trait onto her offspring. Rains fiber is classified as grade 2 fine. She sheared 7 pounds of fleece this year. The cria she produces with Chateau would certainly be of the quality to take into any show ring and bring home a ribbon. Her service sire has multiple banner generated by his amazing fleece. Rain has a gentle nature, she is young and of good genetic stock. Rain has substance of bone and confirmation that reflects the Huacaya breed standard. We plan to use her for breeding unless and until she sells. See her EPD trait data profile above under the EPD icon.
