PATAGONIA'S ERNESTO: Patagonia’s Ernesto is a magnificent light brown compact herdsire that improves every dam to her fullest potential. Before I purchased Ernesto, I bred numerous females to this dynamic male just to see what he could do. I discovered that I could take an average dam, breed her to Ernesto, and voila, he would produce a stunning offspring. This feat was proven when we had hundreds of the females assessed with their juvenile crias. Time and time again, the cria scored better than the dam so I knew I had something special going on with this male and one way to obtain improvement in the production of our breeding program. In many ways, Patagonia’s Ernesto has surpassed his one of a kind sire, Patagonia’s Lennox, and what Lennox has been able to achieve in his life-time. Ernesto’s dam, R&RR Irishea, is a light fawn from Ruth and Rodney Elvestad’s Canadian breeding program whose goal was to have lasting fine fleece, yet have the fleece to be the ultimate in density as well. Ruth operates Olds College in Canada working with fiber. Irishea is out of one of my very favorite males, CAVA Guivar Zorro, a true black import. He has many good breeding years left and would love to have the opportunity to prove it! Congratulations and thank you to Kat Bouzos for her purchase of Estates Brielle! ESTATES BRIELLE Estates Brielle is a spinner’s dream. She has extremely fine fleece, solidity and density carrying into belly, legs, and shoulders with over all evenness and great genetics. Brielle’s sire, Snowmass Andean Midnight, has a royal lineage including many generations of black genetics, passing along ideal fineness and a silky hand that is uniform throughout, with high frequency, well defined crimp extending down to the lower belly, and virtually no guard hair! After all, Andean’s dam is Snowmass Fineness Matters. That is why Andean was chosen by Judge David Barboza as Get of Sire at the California Classic in 2014. Remember, a True Black Get of Sire! Brielle’s dam is Brigette Francoise, a full Peruvian medium fawn known for producing top-of-the-line browns and fawns depending upon the service sire. Offspring: Brielle gave birth to a brown female cria on 7/12/2014, sired by ANDEAN'S PEGASUS OF COUNTRY ESTATES, our dark brown herdsire with Multi-Champion Genetics, and Get of Sire 2015 Second Place Champion in a white Get of Sire Class!
