Half-Interest Now Available! As we refine our herdsire list, we’ve made the hard decision to let our share of ownership go in 7X Champion, six year old grey stud, Ambrose of Milan. We now have his genetics infused solidly in our herd going forward through his multiple daughters and a future stud replacement. It’s now time to let him keep working his magic for someone else’s herd. With his daughters now being old enough to breed, we’re excited to see what his next generation will produce! Ambrose is a solidly built male with a boxy frame and stout build. He is dense, dense, dense and has sired some excellent offspring for us across a wide variety of dams, providing us rose and silver greys, beautiful fawns, and some excellent browns. With 12 of his daughters now folded back into our program, we’re ready to let him do the same for you while we work on the daughters and the next generation. Ambrose has done a fabulous job of building our foundation herd and his legacy will continue long and strong at Epic Alpacas. Ambrose is the complete package - a fantastic rose grey stud who has 7 Championships under his belt from highly competitive shows, beating a Futurity Champ and many other multiple banner winners! He retired from his show run and settled into his breeding career, with his first cria hitting the ground in Fall of 2015. Ambrose is 5th generation grey out of two grey parents and is packed with grey genetics. His sire, ATV Adonnis was a legend in his own time, taking 14 banners until his untimely death in March 2015. He leaves behind a spectacular legacy of cria that have gone on to be color champions and blue ribbon winners in their own right. Adonnis passed along everything he had when he sired this boy - fineness, crimp, density, phenotype, coverage, and more. Grace is a beautiful grey girl with a very sweet disposition. With an AFD of 15 microns and an SD of 4, her fleece is some of the finest on our ranch. Grace isn't just top 1% in the SDMC EPD, she is THE #1 in SDMC out of all participating 31,937 alpacas in the United States! Number ONE out of over thirty one thousand alpacas! That translates to a high expectation that she will give her offspring extremely high frequency and consistent crimp along each fiber. Grace comes with a legacy of fine grey genetics. On her father's side, Grace's grandsire is L.Peruvian Lipton's Shazam, an outstanding silver grey male, with 8 color championships and 30 plus ribbons! On her mother's side, Grace's dam is the daughter of Alpaca Knights Ace of Spades, grandaughter of Patagonia's Drake and great granddaughter of Danko, some of the best genetics in the country. Grace's light silver grey granddam still had a low micron count of 22 at 5 years of age. Ace's fleece was an amazing 20 microns at 3 years of age. Unusual for both grey and black. And Grace is carrying on the family tradition with her ultra fine fleece! On November 8, 2015, Grace had an absolutely gorgeous tux grey girl from our 2013 AOBA Black Fleece Champion herdsire, Zeppelin!
