My, my, my....black IS beautiful! And stunning, and just incredible! Just another stunning black? Well....NOT QUITE. This is an Amazon son. An Amadeus grandson. Futurity and Champion blood running through this line like no tomorrow....and it shows! Look at the body structure - strong, boxy, frame - which is correct in every way. Bright, crimpy fleece which is taking awards from shore to shore. Oh yes...another impact herdsire....

Nov 2014 - Coming in behind the Color Champion in the Fiber Show was no mistake! This girl has beautiful fiber. She didn't come in behind the Reserve Champion - it was behind the Champion! Soft, buttery fiber is what Moondust has and this will carry her far as she becomes a breeder for the next generations. The grey classes are getting tougher and tougher, and Moondust has the right foundation ingredients for producing the future generations. I can't wait to see her matched up and producing crias! **August 2014 - Indeed...this is one NICE girl. 100% light silver grey true-to-type conformationaly correct huacaya sweetheart with fantastic fiber. Sigh. __ **Update April 2014 - once again we were brave enough to enter a "naked" alpaca in a large show. We did this for two reasons…one was to have the fleece evaluated independently and the other was to have the conformation judged on its own merits without fiber obstructing a judge's view (as we know fiber can hide a lot of issues). We are happy to report that the judge found no concerns in either category on this decidedly feminine, yet striking, light silver grey girl. She has a solid conformation, is growing as she should, is in correct proportion, has correct bite, and has beautiful fiber which is consistent from skin to tip. _____ Sigh. Oh how pretty. But pretty isn't why we purchased this little gem. Conformation, fiber, and a future generation of outstanding crias is what we had in mind when we saw combination of genetics. Yes indeed. We loved the championship genetics clear down to the grandparents when we saw this girl. And diverse genetics for the Midwest was an absolute bonus! This light silver grey girl just is a delight! Outstanding fiber is what we love - she will be a fiber lovers paradise. Crimpy, buttery soft, consistent fiber - from skin to tip - sits atop a large boned frame! Just what we like to see on a female! She is a feminine girl from head to toe. Sleek in design, she is tall, slim, and just beautiful - like a runway model. She has captured a first place ribbon in composite class, which tells us that she is not only conformationally correct, but her fleece is also unmatched. Yippee for us! She moves fluidly, loves to socialize, and photo-bombs about every picture, Moondust is a focal point on the farm draws your eye with pleasure. We can't wait for her to mature…our difficulty will be deciding her boyfriend…Bravo or Outlaw or Nighthawk…hmmm……decisions, decisions! (Thinking two generations ahead, we may opt for Quicksand as her first beau...hmmm...oh the possibilities!)
