Skyline’s Gunsmoke is a fabulous Light Silver Grey Male and a product of two of our best Grey alpacas. Gunsmoke’s sire is ATV Silver Elation, who is siring many grey cria and has multiple offspring with Championship ribbons. Gunsmoke was one of these, getting a Reserve Color Championship at the 2012 Alpacapalooza as a juvenile. His Dam is Tiara’s Crystal, a 3X Reserve Color Champ in her Yearling year. She is a Rincon Cloud daughter out of Diamond’s Tiara, another ribbon winning female. Gunsmoke has now settled his first female and his first little girl was born in June, 2014. We couldn't be happier with his first born! What we love about Gunsmoke is his incredible staple length, his brightness, his crimp, and his density. Looks like his little girl has inherited these traits! Really, one just can’t go wrong selecting a breeding with or purchasing Gunsmoke. Just look at the photo of his 2013 fleece!

Skyline’s Hot Tamale is one of our outstanding up and coming Herdsires. We are very excited about his 5 upcoming 2018 cria. Hot Tamale has an excellent Genetic background. His Dam, Snowmass Tupelo Honey, was an amazing Modern Dark Rose Grey female whose sire was Snowmass Matrix and Dam was Snowmass Fineness Matters! Tupelo was not only gorgeous but also maintained fineness through out her life. We were so disappointed when she passed in 2016, as she was one of our best. Luckily for us, we had Hot Tamale, probably her best cria she produced and her first Grey! Hot Tamale’s Sire is Skyline’s Gunsmoke, now owned by Alpacas of Tualatin Valley. He is an impressive Reserve Color Champion, Light Silver Grey male out of ATV Silver Elation. Lona liked him so much she purchased him even though she is a part owner of Silver Elation. She tells me she loves his offspring! Well, we love Hot Tamale! AND the judges did too. He got a Blue at the 2016 CABA Classic as a Juvenile, then a Blue at the AOA National Conference as a yearling.
