RE-INTRODUCING A NEW HERDSIRE FOR YOU

OVA KIERNAN OF ST. ANDREWS

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 30528987DOB: 11/14/200618 yrs
Scott and I have been quietly searching for a proven herdsire that we could use with our huacaya females. We had bred to Kiernan before and were very pleased with our EL Dorado K Fire who we have sold. We were greatly excited that Rick and Pam Brady were going to part with this boy and not only that, our good friends of Alpaca of Somerset Farms, Dianna and Jack Jordan were looking for the very same thing. So we pooled our interests and each purchase a 1/2 interest of Kiernan. He will be here soon and ready to work for us and you. Here is what Rick and Pam have said about Kiernan below: Kiernan has proven to be everything that we had hoped for in a breeding male. With over thirty registered cria on the ground his reputation has grown with each Championship, Reserve and Blue Ribbon won by his offspring. In the recent 2012 California Classic Kiernan won the coveted Get of Sire Class and five of the seven Kiernan offspring at the show won blue ribbons along with a Championship and a Reserve Championship. Later in 2012 Kiernan again won the Get of Sire class at the Gold Country Gathering and again his cria cleaned up winning multiple blue ribbons and both the Color Championship and Reserve in the brown male class. His offspring are all marked with excellent coverage and fleece character, extreme crimp and brightness along with the typical drop dead gorgeous head. They say that the proof is in the progeny and in this regard Kiernan is producing one outstanding cria after another. Kiernan’s dam, Snowmass Legacyna is out of the legendary 4Peruvian Legacy and his sire, FDA St. Andrews a multiple color champion himself, carries Peruvian Santino and PPPeruvian Dracula genetics. Looking for Accoyo genetics? Kiernan offers some of the best. . His fiber statistics show him to have the best crimp in our herd. Kiernan has just a picture perfect head with black ears and muzzle. Fleece coverage and character, density and staple length are just phenomenal along with strong bone and good conformation. In the show ring, Kiernan has impressed the judges in winning three championships, a blue ribbon at AOBA Nationals, eleven overall blue ribbons and a slug of other awards. Update: Sadly, Billabong recently passed, suddenly and unexpectedly. He was an incredible herdsire and we are very grateful for the offspring that we have **************************************************************** Wow! This guy is amazing and to top that off, he has produced many amazing cria! His offspring are taking the Pacific Northwest by storm after spending a couple of years there, and co-owners, Vickie and Ron Sutton of Wooley Beast Alpacas in Wyoming, are offering him at stud for the midwest and producing amazing cria there. And now Billabong joins us in California to work his magic here! 2014 HISTOGRAM AT 12 YEARS OLD! AFD 24.1; SD 4.2; CV 17.8%! This is what the Suttons say about him: "Here is a real head-turner! Billabong has shown in Multi and Grey classes with impressive results. If you are looking to add color to your program, along with amazing coverage, typey conformation, and a perfect head, this is the one! His pedigree is a virtual list of who's who, and Billabong exemplifies the results of quality breedings, as do his offspring! They carry his dense coverage, staple length and architecture, as well as strong bone. It shows in their impressive awards in the ring. Also important is his very gentle nature and friendly personality. Billabong is easy to handle, and is a joy to own." Take advantage now to enhance your breeding program and we will see you in the show ring! Billabong's cria have hit the ground with a bang, with incredible fleece, including a fleece champ! Billabong has thrown several appy cria, with the last three white females Billabong was bred to having appy cria! Billabong comes from star quality genetics. His grand-dam is Medium Rose Grey Hannahruh, who has consistently produced award winning cria - including the well known Painted Sky Apres Vous and champion Grey, Aussie Rockford. Billabong's former owners had this to say about him: "Billabong won 1st Place and Reserve Color Champion (at just 6mos+2days of age) in a multi class in his first show, the 2004 GWAS. Maggie Krieger put him into a Rose Grey class at the 2004 AOBA Nationals and awarded him a 1st Place there. At the 2005 GWAS he landed in multi again where Dr.Julio Sumar placed him 1st yet again. Billabong also helped us win a 4th Place in Breeder's Best Three and 3rd Place in Produce of Dam at GWAS in '05. While the judges can't seem to agree on what color Billabong actually is they do all agree on his quality. With a pedigree like his it's no surprise. He's a grandson of both Dom Lucillio (who sold at auction in 2004 for a then record price) and Peruvian Presidio (a Caligula son and 2nd Place 2004 AOBA Get of Sire). The important touch of rich color and robust nature come through his beautiful, grey, Chilean grandmother." Description

What a very pretty female Bijou is - lovely soft hand to her fleece, silky shine, good crimp, density, and a stunning head. She comes by that head from her Grandfather El R Peruvian Luciano, who was incredibly prepotent for heads AND throwing grey. So while Bijou's dam Teji is not grey, there is certainly a lot of grey in this pedigree. Beyond color there is also a great depth of famous huacayas that have left deep genetics in fleece character in this pedigree including Accoyo Legacy, Accoyo Santino, and Accoyo Dracula. So genetically we have this great cross of color and deep fleece genetics. On September 23, 2016, Bijou had a gorgeous light fawn girl from our champ rose grey herdsire, Snowmass Enlightenment. Bijou is a great mom with lots of milk. Bijou descends from a line that is thought to carry the appy gene, and she is currently bred to our incredible harlequin appy stud, Billabong!
