Champion Enlightenment Son
Elizabil's Elliot
HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 32586152DOB: 11/10/201311 yrs
We co-own this farm favorite with our good friends at Morning Beckons Farm. He will be spending half of the breeding season with us here in Carver, and the other half with Morning Beckons in CT. We can't say enough about the potential of this great male. He has all the qualities that you want from a young herdsire with the genetics to back it up!
If you haven't already, we suggest that you take a moment and read through his histogram before you continue. Elliot has some of the best grey genetics, dark genetics, and light genetics on the map. To name a few :Snowmass Enlightenment, Snowmass XXXtreme, Danko, Crescent Moon's Rayo Del Sol, Peruvian Hemmingway, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, and Kriwin.
His sire is non other than Snowmass Enlightenment. Enlightenment has been turning heads for years now, producing some of the best quality alpacas in the show ring. Per Snowmass Alpacas, "Enlightenment is the most magnificent grey stud we have ever produced". He certainly boosted his illustrious breeding resume by adding Elliot.
As we all know, the dam is just as important in the equation. We believe this is why Elliot is such a great animal. Crescent Moon's Chellita was one of Morning Beckons top production dams before she was sold. Of her four cria's to date, two are champions and all are doing very well in the show ring!
This animal has unbelievable capacity, the kind that you have to feel to believe. It would be a struggle to fit any more fleece on his frame. In fact, he produced 12.4 pounds of total fleece in 2017. The fleece is very fine, has great structure, is consistent, and has great density all the way down to his toes. As with most Enlightenment kin, Elliot also has great conformation and substance of bone.
Elliot is one of those alpacas that really catches your attention when you walk onto our farm. He is absolutely gorgeous and we are pretty sure that he knows it. He also has what we consider to be the best attitude for a herdsire, which is important to us. He is in charge and everyone knows that, but he doesn't throw his weight around just to show off.
Elliot's first cria (Elliot's iKande) hit the show ring this spring and was awarded two reserve championships. All of Elliot's cria got comments from judges on how fine and consistent their fleeces were. We are very excited to see what he will produce next!
