This color champion male is the complete package...excellent genetics, conformation, fiber characteristics, and temperament. "Carrying a very dense, fine, and uniform fleece. I suggest anyone breeding for greys take a look at this male."...judge Kevin O'Leary, AlpacaMania 2011 Judges remarks at his first show where he placed first in his class and went on to be named the Grey Color Champion: "10 months old came out of the juvie class, More density in the individual lock, really dense, highly organized fleece, excellent brightness down at the skin, overall density and organization that carries him to the top of the class."...Stephanie Glyptis His show record speaks to the recognition he is achieving in the ring, but it doesn't tell the rest of the story. GENETICS: Wisp's sire, OVA Kiernan of St Andrews, offers some of the best accoyo genetics available. Kiernan’s dam, Snowmass Legacyna is out of the legendary 4Peruvian Legacy. Kiernan's sire FDA St. Andrews, a multiple color champion himself, carries Peruvian Santino and PPPeruvian Dracula genetics. Kiernan is a 3x Get of Sire winner. Wisp's dam, Melody's Mystique, has produced two cria for us and both are multiple champion males...Wisp and our 3X black reserve color champion Hot Stuff. GRANDSIRE IS MILE HIGH DEACON GREY

Daisy McGee

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Brown
AOA# 35060789DOB: 6/20/201212 yrs
Daisy brings the genetics of her grandsire 14X Color Champion Mile High Deacon Grey and a multitude of grey in her pedigree to our breeding program. We acquired her to specifically breed to our medium rose grey multiple color champion Wisp of Smoke. On March 2, 2017, at almost 5 years old, Daisy delivered her first cria. A knockout tuxedo medium rose grey male sired by Wisp of Smoke. It was a textbook delivery, she had plenty of milk, and took right to being an excellent mother. We have great expectations for her 2017 cria Remington Steele. We are anticipating he will follow his sire's path.

Description

Take a look at this girl's genetics and you will see this female has a very high probability of producing grey.....if bred to a solid (absolutely, postively no white on him anywhere) modern grey. She placed 3rd of of 5 in the Gold Country Gathering Walking Fleece Show. Her strengths were 5 out of 5 in uniformity of length, 16.5 out of 20 in fineness and handle, 7.5 out of 10 in uniformity of micron, 7.5 out of 10 in brightness and 5 out 5 in uniformity of color. Olivia has broad open fiber characteristics which brought her score in Character (crimp) down to 4.5. We were so thrilled when her full-sibling Remington Steele (see side-bar pictures) arrived that we immediately bred her dam back to our rose grey multiple champion Wisp of Smoke. Yes, we knew there was a chance of getting a blue-eyed white and we did. However, we believe Olivia will prove to be an outstanding production female when bred to a solid color. If we weren't on the path to significantly reduce the size of our herd we would not hesitate to add Olivia to our breeding program.
