Carly delivered a beautiful little male in July 2015 from our own herdsire, Lexington. We named him Ragnar. We were quite impressed when he was born. He was up and running at just 45 minutes of age and hasn't slowed down since! The fleece was so dense, it was hard to find skin. We loved the look and the potential and Carly hasn't let us down! Ragnar placed 6th at May's 2016 CABA Classic in Portland where he was up against some intense competition! We were very pleased! Ragnar is also available for sale, check out his description on our Animals for Sale page. Consistency is one of the things we love about Carly's line...gorgeous fleece that stays that way for years. Her dam had a 19.9 AFD on her 6th shearing. Can't beat having 6 years of lovely, soft baby fleece. Take a good look at Carly's fleece stats...on her 3rd shearing, the %>30 is still only 0.5, with her first two fleeces at 0.3%. Carly is very close to being full Peruvian, and if you are looking for pedigree, it's there...Augusto, Bueno, Cahuide, Caligula, Hemingway, Legacy. But wait until you see her fleece...WOW! The blanket was laying on a table at an event with other breeders, and one lady come up and asked if she was for sale. Well...I wasn't sure if we should sell her, and I'm still not. :) Carly has great conformation, a beautiful head...and then, there's that fleece. Her fiber stats don't take into account brightness, and it is absolutely stellar. We expect her to maintain the fineness for a good many years. She was due May 2018. We bred her to one of our own herdsires, Lexington, who has had fineness follow throughout his line! She had a bright-white, curly, dense little girl in early June! Very excited to see how this beautiful little girl grows! Some of the tightest curls we’ve seen! And such a spunky little attitude, so she was named Corina! Carly was bred to one of our herd sires, Encore in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 because we LOVE the outcome of these 2! 2020 Cria, Prince Charmin, a totally gorgeous, solid white male (already sold before he turned six months old!) We decided to repeat the breeding knowing we could get a different color, but are secretly hoping for another fabulous cria. She delivered another healthy baby boy in 2021, a dark brown male named Remington. Then in 2022, a light fawn male full of curly fineness. He's adorable! We re-bred her again to Encore in 2022 and got another boy. So, this year we bred to her Sweet Pines Midas and she had a beautiful baby girl! Carly will get rebred Spring 2024. 2023 Histogram: AFD: 21.3 SD: 44 CV: 20.9% %>30: 3.0 2022 Histogram: AFD: 22.9 SD: 4.6 CV: 20% %>30: 5.5 2020 Histogram: AFD: 20.4 SD: 4.1 CV: 20.1 %>30: 2.0 2019 Histogram: AFD: 21.7 SD: 4.1 CV: 18.8 %>30: 2.5 2018 Histogram: AFD: 20.4 SD: 4.2 CV: 20.4 %>30: 2.0 2017 Histogram: AFD: 21.2 SD: 4.2 CV: 19.9 %>30: 2.8

He's got a very regal figure and is very gentle in personality. We used him for breeding to several females and have been so happy with the outcome! Due to a leg injury, we held off using him for breeding this past year, but he is rearing to go for his 2022 Season! It is a torn ligament that refuses to heal correctly, so, we have limited breedings lined up for him. A nice, long lustrous staple length, with a fine handle. He is being sold just as a fiber boy at this time. He has an injury that doesn't allow him to get around well anymore. 2023 Histogram: AFD: 22.6 SD: 4.3 CV: 18.8 %>30: 4.3% 2022 Histogram: AFD: 21.8 SD: 4.0 CV: 18.3 %>30: 2.8% 2021 Histogram: AFD: 24.2 SD: 4.5 CV: 18.6 %>30: 7.6% 2020 Histogram: AFD: 20.8 SD: 3.5 CV: 17.0 %>30: 1.1 2019 Histogram: AFD: 19.6 SD: 3.5 CV: 17.7 %>30: 0.9 He ranks in the top 5% EPDs in SD traits.

Description

Corina is a farm favorite. She's one of those "PR" alpacas that we don't want to let go. She attends the fairs, all of the agritourism events, and loves to greet everyone who comes out to visit the farm. 2020 she was bred to Antonio and she delivered a beautiful little beige girl on Memorial Day, so, we named her Hero. Corina was bred to Encore in 2021 and delivered a healthy white baby boy on 8/2/22. She was rebred in August 2022 to J Creek Quechua Arctic Warrior. 2022 Histogram: AFD: 19.4 SD: 3.6 CV: 18.8 %>30: 1.1% 2021 Histogram: AFD: 19.6 SD: 3.7 CV: 18.7 %>30: 1.2%
