Time is running out to purchase a breeding to Ganymede, the 2017 AOA Nat’l Supreme Champion. Color genotype: ee Aa. Can produce black! He's making Champions & Judges Choice offspring!! Extraordinary Offspring: CNTRL Ganymede's Hannah B, has 22 Championships and 4 Judges Choice awards competing as a fawn female -AND- she is the 2021/22 #5 female in the Nation!! AMAF Islamadora, has 20 Championships, including the 2024 AOA National Championship, and received her first Judges Choice award as a yearling in Fall of 2023! StrongShepherd Juno, is a 16x Champion & JC male, and CCNF (arguably the top breeding farm in the country) purchased half-interest in this incredible male to bring different genetics into their herd! "This male shows extremely strong fiber traits that should be passed to his offspring...Bred to top notch females, you should expect many champions." -- Comments from Dr. Norm Evans' biopsy report SKIN BIOPSY was performed at 30 months of age by Dr. Norm Evans in December 2017. Of note, his 15x scan shows large fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. His scan shows only 4 guard type hairs from the 6800+ fibers in his 10 MM tissue punch. His true density is 86.75 follicles per SQ MM of skin. He shows a level 2 of 4 gland structure, with an average S/P ratio of 14.1 to 1, and only 11% of his secondary fibers are medullated which is rare since the average is near 60%. His 250x scan shows the presence of many round secondary fibers, and one hundred typical secondary fibers averaged 17.8 microns — at 30 months old!! According to Dr. Evans 30 months is the recommended age for skin biopsies and gives the most accurate values. Full report available upon request. While Ganymede’s breeding fee is firm, we can offer attractive discounts on any solely owned herdsire in a multiple breeding package. We also have females available that have already been bred to Ganymede or can be purchased with a future breeding to him. Please give us a call to discuss. Ganymede is Co-Owned with Rancho Inca Alpacas located in Navasota TX

Dam: Lennox's Mira Ceti of MMFA

Bred for another RG cria out of GANYMEDE

Lennox's Mira Ceti of MMFA

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Brown
AOA# 35230724DOB: 5/3/20159 yrs
Thank you, Jodie Vanselow! We hope you get another modern rose gray! Mira's rose gray female cria out of GANYMEDE has arrived (4/6/20) -- and, she's already sold! So, Mira has been rebred to Ganymede. Obviously, if you purchase her, she'll need to hang out here until her new cria is weaned. Mira's Spring 2020 cria, Proxi, is a beauty with solid bone just like her dam. She has a beautiful medium modern rose grey fleece, and we bet it'll be quite nice with excellent coverage and very good fineness. Her frame will likely be outstanding, and she is growing like a weed. Mira has solid bone, excellent fleece coverage, brightness, great density, and a very good staple length. She's also proven to be an attentive mom, and an easy birther with plenty of milk. And she has a couple of very well known gray's in her pedigree. Mira has an interesting and quirky personality (she's actually quite fun and inquisitive), and she gets along well with her herd, but when it comes to people, she can be a little difficult - especially if you want to touch her! Despite this, she's one of those girls that everyone who comes to the farm is taken with her big eyes and personality. She'll come right up to check you out...but, when you reciprocate by putting your hand out, she responds by saying: "Please...don't touch me!" Mira's sire, Patagonia's Lennox, is a well known and sought after multi-Color Champion herdsire, and with 274 registered offspring to date (2/2017), he has produced more champions than any other sire at Patagonia Estates. His sire is one of the direct Chilean imports, Danko. Mira's dam brings the genetics of Snowmass Nova, 5Peruvian Chaccu, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Peruvian Bueno, and PPeruvian Caligula. Note: MMFA has refined its focus to specializing in fawn, light and white alpacas, so now is your chance to purchase any of our alpacas with darker color genetics at a very reasonable price. Description

Thank you, Shelley & Ken DeVault! I'm glad we get to keep her until she's weaned. So excited that Ganymede has produced grey! This is not just any grey, but a grey female out of a light brown dam (and Ganymede is white...). Yes, her dam does have some grey in her pedigree, but pretty thrilled that it was passed through by Gany. Proxima, or Proxi as we call her, is a strong and vibrant cria that's growing like a weed. She was cria tipped in July, so we're looking forward to seeing this fleece in a few months!
