Big Timber Locke's Kristoff's genetics are power packed on both sides. His sire is the multi-champion Cloudypass' Accoyo Locke. Locke passed his great fiber and conformation characteristics on to his progeny, with his offspring taking 16 first place banners. The 2015 EPD's placed Locke in the top 1% of EPDs for fineness with a rank of 5 out of 5898 Suri males. He continued in the top 1% EPDS thru 2019. Kristoff's dam, Armani's Aurora has passed through her fabulous genetics as well. Leading this genetic package is the multi-champion DDF Accoyo Armani, PPeruvian Miquel, DDF Peruvian Macgyver and Acero Marka's Calamity Jane. Armani's Aurora has outstanding EPD rankings, in the top 2% for fineness and top 1% for fibers>30 micron. She has also demonstrated the ability to retain her fineness and SD as she ages. Kristoff represents the best in Suri genetics and exhibits a high degree of density, luster, fineness, and uniformity. His fleece took Reserve Champion at the 2015 AOA National Fleece Show and first place out of ten at the 2015 Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. No wonder when his histogram showed an amazing 14.4 micron for AFD. His rankings in the top 5% in the 2024 EPDs confirms the retention of his genetic prepotence Kristoff's SHIPS (Suri Herd Improvement Program) evaluation scores were a perfect 5 in all conformation categories. For fleece characteristics he scored a perfect 5 for luster, handle and uniformity of color, and a 4.5 for lock structure. He scored 4's in the areas of fineness, density and fleece phenotype and a 3.5 for uniformity of micron. Dr. Norm Evans performed a skin biopsy on Kristoff in 2017 with the following results: “Big Timber Locke’s Kristoff was biopsied as a 35-month-old light fawn Suri male. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters rather uniform in size, shape and placement within his connective tissue. His density measured 64.5 follicles SQ MM of skin. His average S/P ratio based is 13.4 to 1. He grades level 4 of 4 gland presence and near 40% of his secondary fibers show a degree of medullation. 100 secondary fibers averaged 17.9 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged 29.7 microns for a spread of 11.8 microns. Kristoff’s AFD on July 8, 2017, at 35 months of age figures 18.77 micron. Kristoff's offspring are stunning.... extreme luster and fineness in a very dense organized lock structure. He has produced multiple champions! The only reason we are offering Kristoff for sale at such a discounted price is he is underutilized on our farm. We want to sell whole or half interest to the right partner, who can utilize him more in their herd.

Dam: Shalamar by Aqua Buddha

Kahuna Granddaughter 75% Density!!

Shalamar by Aqua Buddha

SuriOpen (Female)White
AOA# 35029960DOB: 8/11/20159 yrs
Shalamar is the first of only two offspring from our late herdsire Aqua Buddha, one of our last Kahuna sons. We chose to breed Buddha to Cinnamon Girl (light fawn) who has a color background to see what this genetic cross would produced and we were thrilled with the outcome! Shalamar has her daddy's beautiful locking and luster with an elegant frame with a calm demeanor. Shalamar was bred to Big Timber's Kristoff (a Locke son) and this pairing created an adorable girl we named Veruca Salt. Shalamar is a wonderful first time mom, plenty of milk, no birthing issues and very attentive to her cria. She was biopsied in 2018 and we are very happy with the results. Biopsied at 37 months. Adjusted density is 75.25 follicles SQ MM of skin. Typical fiber clusters show an average S/P of 12.9 to 1. Level 2 of 4 gland presence. 100 secondary fibers average 21.8 microns and 50 primary fibers average 31.7 microns for a spread of 9.9 microns. The above state figure an AFD of 22.56 microns. 2015 Ship Scores: FLEECE- Luster: 3.5 / Finess: 5 / Uniformity of Micron: 3 / Density: 3 Lock Structure: 3.5 / Handle: 3.5 / Fleece Phenotype: 4 CONFORMATION Type: 5 / Movement & Tracking: 4 / Front Legs: 5 / Hind Legs: 5 Head: 5 / Strength of Frame: 5 So, if you're looking to add density, or color, pretty sure this girl will get the job done! Shalamar will be an asset to any breeding program!

Description

Veruca was a demanding little princess as she was the first cria born in the herd but now that she is two, has grown into a calm girl with a wonderful personality! We chose to breed Shalamar to Big Timber's Kristoff as we were hoping for a bit more density and this was a natural fit. When we received Shalamar's biopsy results, we laughed because her density is 75 SQMM, and Kristoff's is 60 SQMM! Little Veruca is definitely following in her parents footsteps! We didn't get to show Veruca as a juvie (thanks Covid) but we did enter her fleece in a couple of fleece shows and last year took her to a couple of local shows where she placed first! Don't let those fawn spots fool you, Veruca is ready to breed and has her entire breeding career ahead of her and with her density and beautiful luster, we are confident she will be an asset and improve any breeders program!
